Millau
Millau (; oc, Milhau ) is a Communes of France, commune in the Aveyron Departments of France, department in the Occitania (administrative region), Occitanie Regions of France, region in Southern France. One of two Subprefectures in France, subprefectures in Aveyron alongside Villefranche-de-Rouergue, it is located to the southeast of the Prefectures in France, prefecture, Rodez. With a population of 22,002 as of 2018, it is situated at the confluence of the rivers Tarn (river), Tarn and Dourbie, and is surrounded by the landscapes of Gorges du Tarn and Larzac, Causse du Larzac. Ayssènes
Ayssènes (; oc, Aissenas) is a commune in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region of southern France. Geography Ayssènes is located some 25 km west of Millau and 7 km south-east of Alrance. Access to the commune is by the D510 road from Villefranche-de-Panat in the west which passes through the commune by a circuitous route to the village then continues south across the river to join the D200 on the opposite bank. Castelnau-Pégayrols (''Castèlnòu de Leveson in Occitan'') is a commune in the Aveyron department in southern France. In addition to its castle and three churches it has a unique mediaeval irrigation system recognised in 1996 as of global importance. Camarès
Camarès (; oc, Lo Pont de Camarés) is a commune in the Aveyron department in southern France. Geography Situated 23 kilometres south of Saint-Affrique and 80 kilometres from Béziers, the commune is traversed by the Dourdou de Camarès and sits at the foot of the Monts de Lacaune. Its red soil, ''le rougier'', is a schistose sandstone. It covers a rich substrate which was exploited for the first mines of copper and argentiferous lead during the Gallo-Roman era. The commune includes a thermal basin with springs that are no longer in use today: Prugnes les eaux, Andabre, Le Cayla et Sylvanès (eau thermale). Broquiès (; oc, Broquièrs) is a Communes of France, commune in the Aveyron Departments of France, department in southern France. Geography The commune is in the Raspes de Tarn; on both banks of the river Tarn (river), Tarn. The village is on the north bank where the land rises steeply from the Tarn () to the Lévézou plateau (). On each side of the village are streams that have cut deep valley.
