Maria Arnal (born 1987) is a Spanish singer. Born to a musical family, she started writing songs and playing the guitar at 18. She studied literature and translation at university, and combined this with various temporary jobs, such as working as an usher at the Teatre Lliure. After breaking her femur in 2014 she left the job and later studied singing at the Badalona School of Modern Music. There she performed and continued her training with Marc Sempere, promoter of the collective Compartir Dóna Gustet, and with Jasmin Martorell, a vocal coach who had been a disciple of Montserrat Caballé. At the musical level, Arnal bases her background on the oral tradition of the Iberian Peninsula. According to the artist, she wants to approach tradition from the perspective of free culture in the digital age. Arnal Llibert Conde Carbó (born 21 January 1980), known simply as Arnal, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a forward. Club career Born in Girona, Catalonia, Arnal started playing as a senior with RCD Espanyol's reserves in Segunda División B. José Cabrero Arnal or C. Arnal (September 6, 1909 in Castilsabás (Huesca)—September 7, 1982 in Antibes, France) was a Spanish comics artist, who nevertheless worked in France for most of his career but was never naturalized as French citizen. He is most famous for the comics series '' Pif le chien'' and '' Placid et Muzo''. Biography During his youth in Barcelona he worked as cabinetmaker and as repairman of calculators. He published his very first graphic works in magazines like '' Pocholo'' or the famous '' TBO'', with a character called ''Top'', a humanized dog that later became the famous '' Pif le chien''. In 1936, after the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, he enrolled in the Republican militia and was forced into exile in France after the end of war. Ángel Ribera Arnal ( ca, Àngel Ribera i Arnal; 13 March 1909 – 13 February 2002) was a Spanish chess player, Spanish Chess Championship silver medalist (1958), Catalan Chess Championship winner (1933). Biography For over 30 years Ribera was one of the strongest chess players in Spain. In 1935, he ranked 2nd in Spanish National Tournament (the winner received the right to a match with the current champion of the country). Ribera was participant in international chess tournaments in Sitges (1934) and Barcelona (1929 and 1935). In 1933, he won Catalan Chess Championship and ranked 2nd in this tournament in 1928 and 1958. Albert Arnal (Serra (Camp de Túria) 31 January 1913 - Quart de Poblet ( Horta Oest) 1 May 1966), known as Quart (or Xiquet de Quart) was the Valencian pilota ruling ''dauer'' player during the 1930s. His mastery caused him to be rewarded by having a picture on the ''Honor Gallery'' of the Pelayo trinquet. On 1991 the Valencian Pilota Federation awarded him with the Golden medal. He began playing at the Manises trinquet and got to be the main player at the Pelayo ''trinquet'' during the 1930s and 1940s. Étienne Arnal (2 February 179410 December 1872) was a French comic actor. Life Arnal was born at Meulan, Yvelines. After serving in the army, and working in a button factory, he took to the stage.
