April March (born Elinor Blake; April 20, 1965) is an American singer-songwriter who sings in English and French. She is known for the song "Chick Habit#English language version, Chick Habit", which was featured in the films ''But I'm a Cheerleader'' and ''Death Proof''. She is also a cartoon animator, including a stint as a principal animator for the ''Ren and Stimpy'' show. She went to Parsons School of Design, Parsons The New School for Design and California Institute of the Arts for Character Animation. Early life and education In junior high, Blake participated in an exchange program in France. She graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts in 1983. The Pussywillows were a group that featured Elinor Blake, Lisa Dembling and Lisa Jenio. Their recordings have appeared on the ''Kill the Moonlight'' soundtrack, and the '' Rutles Highway Revisited'' album. Background The Pussywillows were originally from New York City. It consisted of three friends— Elinor Blake, Lisa Dembling and Lisa Jenio—who liked singing together girl-group style. With a singing style like that of 1960s groups such as The Shangri-Las and The Ronettes, they would sing on stage wearing thrift-store dresses. The group originally had some help in its formation by Mike Chandler of the group Raunch Hands. Daniel and David Buck (known by their stage name Dan and Dave) are American sleight of hand practitioners known for their contributions to the art of cardistry. Background Growing up in Sonora, California, Daniel and David Buck wanted to become illusionists at the age of 12 after watching David Copperfield perform on television. After watching one of David Blaine's popular street magic specials, the twins switched to doing close-up magic and eventually just card magic. ''The Drowned Man'' was an original theatre production by British theatre company Punchdrunk, in collaboration with the Royal National Theatre. Overview Set within the fictional "Temple Pictures", ''The Drowned Man'' was Punchdrunk's largest theatre installation, covering 200,000 sq ft., catering for up to 600 audience members per show with a cast of nearly 40. The production fell within several genres of theatre, including so-called site-specific theatre, promenade theatre, interactive theatre or immersive theatre.
