Intissar Al-Wazir
Intissar al-Wazir ( ar, انتصار الوزير) (1941-) (also known as ''Umm Jihad'' أم جهاد) is a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council and a former PNA minister. Her husband was Khalil al-Wazir, a senior figure of the Palestine Liberation Organization who was assassinated by Israel in 1988. She joined the Fatah organization in 1959, becoming the party’s first female member. She has a bachelor's degree in history from Damascus University. Biography Al-Wazir was born in Gaza City. She helped found the General Union of Palestinian Women, an organization that focuses on the social, economic and legal status of Palestinian women. She has been a member of the Palestinian National Council since 1974 and a member of the Fatah-Central Committee since 1987. Kamel al-Wazir ( ar, كامل الوزير) is the Transport Minister of Egypt. He succeeded minister Hisham Arafat who resigned after the Ramses Station rail disaster. Kamel al-Wazir had been heading the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces before being appointed as the minister. During his tenure as well, an accident happened as two trains collided in Upper Egypt for which, he issued an official apology. Tarek Mohammed Al-Wazir ( ar, طارق محمد الوزير; born 3 January 1971) is a politician in the German Green Party. Since January 2014 he has been deputy to the Hessian Minister-President, and Hessian Minister of Economics, Energy, Transport and Regional Development. He is a member of the Landtag of Hesse and was co-chair of the Hessian Green Party. Early life and education Al-Wazir was born in Offenbach am Main, Hesse, the son of an upper-class Yemeni father and a Sudeten German mother. He holds dual citizenship of Yemen and Germany. His parents divorced while he was a child, and he spent several years of his youth in the Yemeni capital (Sana'a) with his father, an experience he later described as very influential in his personal development. Alliance 90/The Greens (german: Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, ), often simply referred to as the Greens ( ), is a green political party in Germany. It was formed in 1993 as the merger of The Greens (formed in West Germany in 1980) and Alliance 90 (formed in East Germany in 1990).
