The Shadow Chronicles
''Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles'' is the 2006 animated sequel to the 1985 ''Robotech'' television series. It was released on DVD on February 6, 2007. At Anime Expo 2004, Harmony Gold USA revealed that ''Robotech: Shadow Force'' was in production to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Robotech in 2005. The name of the new story arc was soon changed to ''Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles'', and the film was completed on January 27, 2006. Plot In June 2044, the Robotech Expeditionary Force (REF) fleet gathers at Moon Base ALUCE for its final attempt to drive the alien Invid from the Earth. Among the REF fighter pilots are Maia Sterling, Marcus Rush and Alex Romero, all of whom were born in space during the REF mission and have never seen Earth. Tatsunoko Production
and often shortened to , is a Japanese animation company. The studio's name has a double meaning in Japanese: "Tatsu's child" (Tatsu is a nickname for Tatsuo) and " sea dragon", the inspiration for its seahorse logo. Tatsunoko's headquarters are in Musashino, Tokyo. History The studio was founded in October 1962 by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida and his brothers Kenji and Toyoharu (better known by his pen name "Ippei Kuri"). The studio's first production was the 1965 TV series ''Space Ace''. Ariel (Robotech)
''Robotech'' is the American adaptation of three Japanese animated series: ''The Super Dimension Fortress Macross'', ''The Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross'', and ''Genesis Climber MOSPEADA'', as a single TV series. The series is divided into three parts which are subtitled ''The Macross Saga'', ''The Masters'', and ''The New Generation''. A fourth part was planned in a sequel series but was canceled, with only a few episodes being produced which were later combined into a movie ''The Sentinels''.
