Werner Pittschau
Werner Pittschau (24 March 1902 – 28 October 1928) was a German theater and film actor of the silent film era. He was a leading men in 30 films during the 1920s, but his career was cut short by his death in an automobile accident, aged 26. Pittschau was the son of the German theater actor Ernst Pittschau (1859-1916) and the Viennese theatre and film Hilda Hofer-Pittschau née Schützenhofer (1873-1961), theater and movie actress. He began his career after training in 1919 as an actor at the Deutsches Landestheater in Prague. His older half-brother was actor Ernst Pittschau (1883-1951). On Sunday, 28 October 1928, Werner Pittschau and his girlfriend, dancer Wilma Harmening, were driving from Berlin to Mecklenburg when Pittschau lost control of the vehicle and collided into a tree near the village of Gerdshagen. Olga Engl
Olga Engl (30 May 1871 – 21 September 1946) was an Austrian-German stage and motion picture actress who appeared in nearly 200 films. Biography Engl was privately educated in an Ursuline monastery and began her acting career at the Prague Conservatory. In August 1887 she made her stage début as Bertha in the play ''Die Verschwörung des Fiesco zu Genua'' in her home town. In 1888, she moved to the city of Danzig and performed in the theatre from 1889 to 1892 then briefly moved to Berlin. From 1892 to 1895 she performed with the court theatre in Munich and from 1895 to 1897 in Hamburg at the Thalia Theater, and from 1897 in Hanover. Engl made her film debut in the 1911 British silent film ''The Adoptive Child'' then returned to Germany and began appearing in German film productions. Julius Falkenstein (25 February 1879 – 9 December 1933) was a German stage and film actor of the silent era. He appeared in more than 180 films between 1914 and 1933. Falkenstein was Jewish, but secured a special permit to continue making films following the Nazi rise to power in 1933. He died of natural causes the same year, having made only one further film. Elisabeth Margarete Biermann (née Brink, born Frey; 2 April 1905 – 28 October 1985), known professionally as Elga Brink, was a German film actress. Brink rose to prominence in the early 1920s, when she starred in many silent films. Her last silent film was '' Marriage in Trouble'' in 1928. After silent films, Brink continued acting in sound films until her retirement in 1951. Her last role was in the 1951 movie ''Das fremde Leben.'' After her retirement, Brink remarried and worked as a clerk in Hamburg until her death in 1985. Life Elga Brink was born Elisabeth Margarete Frey in Berlin on 2 April 1905, the daughter of a banker in Berlin-Waidmannslust. Shortly after her birth, her surname was changed to Brink.
