Nicolette (full name Nicolette Love Suwoton, born 1964) is a Scottish singer-songwriter of Nigerian parentage, residing in London for most of her life, and has also lived in Nigeria, Switzerland, France, and Belgium. Her music, although falling broadly into the field of electronica, is characterised by many influences, including, jazz, classical, blues, folk and African. Career She has released three solo albums, as well as a DJ mix album for the '' DJ-Kicks'' series, and featured on "Three" and " Sly", two songs on Massive Attack's 1994 ''Protection'' album. She has worked with many other collaborators in the electronic music field, including Plaid, Alec Empire, and 4hero. She signed to the Talkin' Loud label in 1996. ''Nicolette'' is the debut album by Nicolette Larson, released in 1978 by Warner Bros. Records. It reached #15 on the US pop charts and #1 in Canada and was certified Gold in both markets. Larson came to public attention singing backup for Neil Young on ''American Stars 'n Bars'' and ''Comes a Time''. Her first charting single was Young's smoky composition "Lotta Love". As a single, it hit #1 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart, #8 on the Billboard Hot 100, #8 on the Cash Box Top 100, and #8 in Record World magazine. The follow-up single, "Rhumba Girl," fell short of the US Top 40, but reached #15 in Canada and #4 on the Canadian Adult Contemporary chart. Michael Rexford Nicolette (born December 7, 1956) is an American professional golfer and inventor who played on the PGA Tour in the 1970s and 1980s. Nicolette was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and was a member of the golf team. While a student at Rollins, he won the 1976 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship. He turned pro in 1978. Nicolette had ten top-10 finishes in PGA Tour events during his career including a win at the 1983 Bay Hill Classic. In that tournament, he defeated Greg Norman in a playoff on the first extra hole. He was the first round co-leader at the 1988 U.S. Open, but faded in the last three days. His best finish in a major championship was T-13 at the 1983 U.S. Open. She was the Director of Culture in The Bahamas, and is now a full-time lecturer in the School of Social Sciences at the University of the Bahamas. Nicolette Larson (July 17, 1952 – December 16, 1997) was an American singer. She is perhaps best known for her work in the late 1970s with Neil Young and her 1978 hit single of Young's "Lotta Love", which hit No. 1 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart and No. 8 on the pop singles chart.
