''Joker: Last Laugh'' is a crossover storyline published by DC Comics in 2001. Summary While locked up in the Slab penitentiary, the Joker finds out that he is suffering from a terminal brain tumor. Determined to go out with a bang, he causes a riot in the Slab, and in the ensuing chaos, modifies the chemicals used by the prison to suppress its metahuman inmates into his Joker venom, and manages to "jokerize" the other inmates, making them insane and changing their appearance, giving them white skin, red lips, green hair, and a wide smile. The Black Canary, Nightwing, and Batman move in to put down the riot, while Dinah Laurel Lance and Shilo Norman are trapped inside. The Joker prompts Black Mass to suck the prison into a black hole while he and the other villains escape. The Blue Beetle narrowly rescues the Black Canary, Batman, and Nightwing, while Dinah and Shilo are not so lucky. "The Last Laugh" is the third episode of the second season and 25th episode overall from the FOX series '' Gotham''. The episode was written by John Stephens and directed by Eagle Egilsson. The Laugh Last Theatre Restaurant & Zoo, popularly known as The Last Laugh, was a comedy club in Melbourne, Australia. It was a major centre for the development of Australian alternative comedy. ''The Last Laugh'' was a prototype tailless dart-shaped aircraft built in 1929 by Roy Scroggs in the US. Designed as a lifting body, it was based on an earlier 1917 delta-winged patent. It underwent flight testing but the design was not developed further. Origin Roy Scroggs was a tailor living in Eugene, Oregon, US. He sought to develop an airplane that would bring safety, economy and STOL performance to everyday flying, and patented his first low-aspect-ratio delta design in 1917. His unconventional ideas were rejected by aeronautical experts and he received much ridicule for his persistence. Records, and the catalogue number 47710 was assigned to the release, but Chino XL was dropped by the label shortly after the promotional single "Let 'Em Live" was released. Joker's Daughter was originally a musical collaboration between Greek-English singer/songwriter Helena Costas and producer Danger Mouse who released their debut album '' The Last Laugh'' in 2009. Today Helena Costas is backed by a new band and has a new album scheduled for release on 31 October 2011. History Born in London but Greek Cypriot by origin, Helena Costas studied violin from ages 7 to 13, then taught herself guitar and keyboards. As she became an adult, her mission came into focus.
