Got Talent
''Got Talent'' is a British talent show TV format conceived and owned by Simon Cowell's Syco, SYCOtv company. It has spawned Spin-off (media), spin-offs in over 69 countries, in what is now referred to as the 'Got Talent' format, similar to that described by Fremantle (company), Fremantle of the Idols (TV series), ''Idol'' and ''The X Factor'' formats. Unlike those shows, ''Got Talent'' (influenced by the variety of talent shows ''Opportunity Knocks (British TV series), Opportunity Knocks'' and ''New Faces'') showcase other artistic disciplines in addition to singing. In April 2014, the format was named the world's most successful reality TV format ever by ''Guinness World Records''. Cowell said: "I am very proud that ''Got Talent'' is a homegrown British show. America's Got Talent
''America's Got Talent'' (often abbreviated as ''AGT'') is a televised American talent show competition, and is part of the global ''Got Talent'' franchise created by Simon Cowell. The program is produced by Fremantle (as well as distributed by) and Syco Entertainment, and broadcasts on the NBC television network. It premiered on June 21, 2006 after plans for a British edition in 2005 were suspended, following a dispute within the British broadcaster ITV. Production would later resume in 2007, following the success of the first season. Each season is mainly run during the network's summer schedule, and has featured various hosts over the course of the program's history. The current host is Terry Crews. The program attracts a variety of participants from across the United States and abroad, who possess some form of talents.
