Clear Card
is a Japanese ''shōjo'' manga series written and illustrated by the manga group Clamp. It is a sequel to Clamp's manga ''Cardcaptor Sakura'' and focuses on Sakura Kinomoto in junior high school. The manga began serialization in Kodansha's ''Nakayoshi'' magazine with the July 2016 issue. A 22-episode anime television series adaptation by Madhouse, featuring the cast and staff from the original series, aired from January to June 2018, which loosely adapts the first twenty-four chapters. Plot Sakura Kinomoto is starting junior high school alongside her friends, including her boyfriend Syaoran Li, who had just returned to Tomoeda. Magical Girl
is a subgenre of Japanese fantasy media (including anime, manga, light novels, and live-action media) centered around young girls who possess magical abilities, which they typically use through an ideal alter ego into which they can transform. The genre emerged in 1962 with ''Himitsu no Akko-chan'', followed by ''Sally the Witch'' in 1966 produced by Toei Animation. A wave of similar anime produced by the studio in the 1970s led to being used as a common term for the genre. "Clear" (stylized as "CLEAR") is a song recorded by Japanese singer Maaya Sakamoto. It was released as a single on January 31, 2018, through JVC Kenwood Victor Entertainment, FlyingDog. It was written by Sakamoto and composed by Yoshiki Mizuno of the band Ikimono-gakari. "Clear" is the opening theme to the NHK anime ''Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card'', the sequel to ''Cardcaptor Sakura'', for which Sakamoto's "Platinum (Maaya Sakamoto song), Platinum" served as opening theme for the third season close to twenty years prior. Anime Expo, abbreviated AX, is an American anime convention held in Los Angeles, California and organized by the non-profit Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA). Nanase Ohkawa
is a member of the all-female manga-creating team CLAMP. She is the director of the team and is primarily responsible for writing the stories and scripts for CLAMP's various works. As part of CLAMP's 15th Anniversary, each of the four members changed their names reportedly because they wanted to try out the new monikers. Ohkawa changed her name to in 2004.
