Clarke Breitkreuz
Clarke Breitkreuz (born November 28, 1991) is a Canadian- German professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing for German side Lausitzer Füchse in the second-tier DEL2. Playing career Born in Springside, Saskatchewan, Breitkreuz played for the Beardy's Blackhawks of the SMHL in 2007–08, and then split the following season between WHL's Regina Pats and SJHL's Yorkton Terriers. Also the 2009–10 campaign saw him turn out for the Terriers, before joining the Prince George Cougars of the WHL. For the 2010–11 season, Breitkreuz returned to the Yorkton Terriers for a third stint. In 2011, he landed his first job overseas, signing with German third-division club Füchse Duisburg. Lausitzer Füchse
The Lausitzer Füchse (literally ''Lusatian Foxes'') is a professional ice hockey team based in Weißwasser, Saxony. They currently play in DEL2, the second level of ice hockey in Germany. Prior to the 2013–14 season they played in the 2nd Bundesliga. History The team was founded already in 1932 but is most significant for its remarkable domination as SG Dynamo Weißwasser in the GDR ice hockey league with over 25 championships. The club was part of the sports association of the East German Ministry of National Defence. After the German reunification the team could not hold its strength, financial problems and relegations followed. The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (for sponsorship reasons called "PENNY Deutsche Eishockey Liga") (; English: ''German Ice Hockey League'') or DEL, is a German professional ice hockey league and the highest division in German ice hockey. Founded in 1994, it was formed as a replacement for the Eishockey-Bundesliga and became the new top-tier league in Germany as a result. Unlike the old Bundesliga, the DEL is not under the administration of the German Ice Hockey Federation. The DEL is regarded as one of Europe's premier ice hockey divisions behind leagues in Sweden, Finland and Switzerland.
