CS Rapid București (handball)
CS Rapid București is a Romanian professional handball club based in Giulești, in the northwestern parts of Bucharest. Founded in 1934, they play their home games at the Sala Rapid. The club competes in the Liga Națională, the top division of Romanian handball. They won their first major honour, the League championship, in 1961. The club won the Romanian Cup for the first time in 2004, and their first European honour, the European Cup, in 1964. Rapid achieved the EHF treble. Domestically, the club has won six league titles and one Romanian Cup. Internationally, they have won one Champions League, one European League, and one European Cup since their inception. They are currently competing in the 2022–23 Women's EHF Champions League. Polyvalent Hall of Bucharest ( ro, Sala Polivalentă din București) is a multi-purpose indoor arena on the Tineretului Park in Bucharest, Romania. Kastamonu is the capital district of the Kastamonu Province, Turkey. According to the 2000 census, population of the district is 102,059 of which 64,606 live in the urban center of Kastamonu. Ikast Håndbold is a Danish women's handball club based in Ikast. They have competed in Damehåndboldligaen, Denmark's primary handball league, since 1991. History The club was founded as ''Ikast FS Håndboldafdeling'' on 20 June 1970 as a merger of the handball departments of ''Ikast DUI'' and ''Ikast Skytte Gymnastik Forening''. Ferencvárosi Torna Club is a Hungarian women's handball team from Budapest, that is part of the multi-sports club Ferencvárosi TC. Nicknamed ''Fradi'', the team plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top level championship in Hungary. 2023–24 Women's EHF Champions League
The 2023–24 Women's EHF Champions League is the 31st edition of Europe's premier club handball tournament, running from 9 September 2023 to 2 June 2024. Vipers Kristiansand are the defending champions. Format The tournament will run using the same format as the previous three seasons. The competition begins with a group stage featuring sixteen teams divided into two groups. Matches are played in a double round-robin system with home-and-away fixtures, fourteen in total for each team. Vipers Kristiansand is a handball club from Kristiansand, Norway. They currently compete in REMA 1000-ligaen, the top division in the country, since its promotion in 2001.
