Arrowverse
The Arrowverse is an American superhero media franchise and shared universe that is centered on various interconnected television series based on DC Comics superhero characters, primarily airing on The CW as well as web series on CW Seed. The series were developed by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Geoff Johns, Ali Adler, Phil Klemmer, Salim Akil, and Caroline Dries. Set in a shared fictional multiverse much like the DC Universe and DC Multiverse in comic books, it was established by crossing over common plot elements, settings, cast and characters that span six live-action television series and two animated series. 2016–17 United States Network Television Schedule
The 2016–17 network television schedule for the five major English-language commercial broadcast networks in the United States covers prime time hours from September 2016 to August 2017. The schedule is followed by a list per network of returning series, new series, and series canceled after the 2015–16 season. NBC was the first to announce its fall schedule, on May 15, 2016, followed by Fox on May 16, ABC on May 17, CBS on May 18 and The CW on May 19, 2016. PBS is not included; member television stations have local flexibility over most of their schedules and broadcast times for network shows may vary. Ion Television and MyNetworkTV are also not included since the majority of both networks' schedules comprise syndicated reruns (with limited original programming on the former). ''Constantine'' (stylized as Cons♰antine) is an American occult detective drama television series developed by Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer for NBC. Based on the DC Comics character of the same name, it stars Matt Ryan as the eponymous John Constantine, an English exorcist and occult detective who hunts supernatural entities. The series premiered on October 24, 2014, and aired for one season, concluding on February 13, 2015. Although the series was canceled after its first season, Ryan would reprise his role in the Arrowverse franchise, which retroactively established ''Constantine'' as part of the same continuity. Ryan also returned as Constantine in the DC Animated Movie Universe and its animated spin-off series '' Constantine: City of Demons''. DC Multiverse
In DC Comics, the Multiverse is a "cosmic construct" composed of the many fictional universes the stories of DC take place in. The worlds in this multiverse share a space and fate in common, and its structure has changed several times in the history of DC Comics. History Golden Age The concept of a universe and a multiverse in which the fictional stories take place was loosely established during the Golden Age of Comic Books. With the publication of ''All-Star Comics'' #3 in 1940, the first crossover between characters occurred with the creation of the Justice Society of America (JSA), which presented the first superhero team with characters appearing in other publications (comic strips and anthology titles) to bring attention to less-known characters. This established the first shared "universe", as all these heroes now lived in the same world. The DC Universe (DCU) is the fictional shared universe where most stories in American comic book titles published by DC Comics take place. Superheroes such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Robin, Martian Manhunter, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Green Arrow, and Harley Quinn are from this universe, as well as teams such as the Justice League, Teen Titans and the Suicide Squad. It also contains well-known supervillains such as the Joker, Lex Luthor, Catwoman, Deathstroke, Deadshot, Reverse-Flash, Black Manta, the Penguin, the Riddler, the Scarecrow, Ra’s al Ghul, Sinestro, Brainiac, and Darkseid.
