Ajit Doval
Ajit Kumar Doval (born 20 January 1945) is a former spymaster and the current National Security Advisor (NSA) of India. Ajit Doval has been longest serving NSA of India. The present tenure is notably the Doval's third consecutive extension since 2014. He was Intelligence Bureau (IB) chief and a former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from Kerala cadre. He previously served as the director of the IB in 2004–05, after working for a decade as the head of its operation wing. He worked as an undercover spy of IB for one year in Pakistan then 6 years as an officer in Indian high commission in Islamabad. He spent most part of his career as a spy of IB. His successful operation as a spy and intelligence head includes Operation Black Thunder 1988, rescue of 46 Indian national in Iraq, 2015's operation versus Nagaland militants with the India army, to sabotage terror organisation PFI and many more. The National Security Advisor (NSA; ISO 15919, ISO: ) is the senior official on the National Security Council (India), National Security Council of India, and the chief advisor to the Prime Minister of India on national security policy and international affairs. ''The Caravan'' is an Indian English-language, long-form narrative journalism magazine covering politics and culture. Intelligence Bureau (India)
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) (Hindi: आसूचना ब्यूरो; IAST: āsūcanā byūro) is India's domestic internal security and counter-intelligence agency under Ministry of Home Affairs. It was founded in 1887 as ''Central Special Branch'', and is reputed to be the oldest such organization in the world.
