Me Time
''Me Time'' is the debut EP by country singer Lisa Matassa, released on March 31, 2011. Production Much of the EP was originally composed and written in Nashville at Jim "Moose" Brown's studio, though some of the final tracks were recorded at Richi Cannata's Cove City Sound Studios in Glen Cove, New York. Participants in the album's creation were two-time Grammy nominee Bobby Graziose, who served as co-executive producer, and producer Tony Bruno (musician), Tony Bruno, who also works with Rihanna and Enrique Iglesias. Producer Joey Sykes, who previously worked for bands such as Third Eye Blind, also collaborated on the project. Country songwriter Don Rollins and Jody Gray assisted as co-writers along with Matassa on one of the tracks. The EP is a stylistic blend of Rock music, Rock, Country music, New Country, and Pop music, Pop. Release The EP was released on It Is What It Is Records on March 31, 2011. Lisa Matassa is an American country singer and singer-songwriter. In the 1980s she had two pop hits reach the top ten on the Dance Music Charts, including 1987's "I've Got the Hots for You" and 1988's "Rock Me Baby", both credited to Lysa Lynn. She released a debut country music, country EP on March 31, 2011 titled ''Me Time.'' Early life Lisa Matassa was born and initially raised on Long Island, New York. She comes from a musical family; her mother used to sing in a doo-wop, doo-wop group, and her grandmother was an opera singer. As a child she often listened to artists such as Loretta Lynn and Elvis Presley. When Matassa was seven years old her family moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they remained for eight years. Tony "Bruno" Rey is an American guitarist, writer, producer and arranger who has worked with bands including Saraya, the Mike Pont Band, Danger Danger, Billy Joel, Janet Jackson, Enrique Iglesias, Joan Jett & the Black Hearts, Kathie Lee, Taylor Dayne, Anastacia and Rihanna. In Danger Danger, he replaced guitarist Al Pitrelli and was replaced by guitarist Andy Timmons. Third Eye Blind is an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California, in 1993. After years of lineup changes in the early and mid-1990s, the songwriting duo of Stephan Jenkins and Kevin Cadogan signed the band's first major-label recording contract with Elektra Records in 1996. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1997, with the band largely consisting of Jenkins (vocals, rhythm guitar), Cadogan (lead guitar), Arion Salazar (bass guitar), and Brad Hargreaves (drums). Shortly after the release of the band's second album in 1999, ''Blue'', with the same line-up, Cadogan was released from the band under controversial circumstances.
