The Life Of Leonard Cohen
''The'' () is a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things that are already or about to be mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with nouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers. Pronunciation In most dialects, "the" is pronounced as (with the voiced dental fricative followed by a schwa) when followed by a consonant sound, and as (homophone of the archaic ...

I'm Your Man (1992 Film)
''I'm Your Man'' is a 1992 short film which was created to showcase Loews Theatres' interactive cinema technology. Audiences used seat-mounted joysticks to vote between three options in action at six different points throughout the movie. Production The movie was designed as the first test of ''Interfilm'', Bob Bejan's interactive cinema company. The film was shot on 16mm Kodak film, transferred to LaserDisc, and digitally projected to allow for nearly seamless transitions when audiences made their choices. Acting and direction were less than impressive; the movie was shot over only 6 days, and Bejan did not require a second take of any shot. In very early roles for both of them, comedy actors Michael Ian Black and Ben Garant appear as background in a party scene. Distribution The film premiered in a special theater at the Loews on 19th Street and Broadway in New York City in December 1992. Tickets to the 20-minute show were $3, and ticket holders were allowed to stay for as many ...

I'm Your Man (Jason Sellers Album)
''I'm Your Man'' is the debut album of American country music artist Jason Sellers, released in 1997 via BNA Records. Singles released from the album include the title track, "That Does It" and "This Small Divide", all of which charted on the ''Billboard'' country charts in 1997. In addition, the song "Can't Help Calling Your Name" was later recorded on Sellers' 1999 album ''A Matter of Time'', from which it was released as a single. "Hole in My Heart" was previously recorded by former NRBQ member Al Anderson on his 1996 album ''Pay Before You Pump''. Critical reception Jeff Davis of '' Country Standard Time'' gave a mostly unfavorable review, saying that "Sellers is just another artist crafted by the mainstream, trying to make it by imitation" and that Sellers seemed to be emulating Vince Gill on some tracks. His review cited the title track and "I Can't Stay Long" showed a sense of personality. Track listing Personnel * Al Anderson – electric guitar *J. T. Corenflos ...

I'm Your Man (Leonard Cohen Album)
''I'm Your Man'' is the eighth studio album by Canadian singer Leonard Cohen, released on February 2, 1988 by Columbia Records. The album marked Cohen's further move to a more modern sound, with many songs having a synthesizer-oriented production. It soon became the most successful album which Cohen had released in the US, and it reached number one in several European countries, transforming Cohen into a best-selling artist. Recording ''I'm Your Man'' was recorded in Los Angeles, Montreal and Paris, and while it was the first studio album where Cohen took sole credit for the production, three contributing producers participated: Roscoe Beck, Jean-Michel Reusser and Michel Robidoux. The LP would give Cohen an updated, contemporary 80s sound, featuring songs composed primarily on keyboards and delivered in Cohen's increasingly gravelly rasp. Cohen's sound had started to evolve on his last studio album '' Various Positions'' (1984) but it is more fully realized on this album. Fellow M ...

I'm Your Man (Leonard Cohen Song)
"I'm Your Man" is a song written by Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen, first released on the album of the same name. Originally released as a single in 1988, it reached number 57 in the French charts after Cohen's death in 2016. Song "I'm Your Man" was first released on Cohen's album '' I'm Your Man'', February 1988. It was then released as the second single from the album, failing to chart anywhere. After Cohen's death in November 2016, it reached number 57 in France. In Paul Zollo's book ''Songwriters on Songwriting'', Cohen said of the song, "I sweated over that one. I really sweated over it. I can show you the notebook for that. It started off as a song called "I Cried Enough for You". It was related to a version of "Waiting for a Miracle" that I recorded. The rhyme scheme was developed by toeing the line with that musical version that I put down. But it didn't work." Reception Rolling Stone said, "Set to a cheesy drum-machine beat and sotto voce horn riffs, with mo ...

"I'm Your Man" is a song by British pop duo Wham!, released in 1985 on Epic Records in the UK and most of the world, and Columbia Records in the US. It was written and produced by George Michael. Background & Writing ''I'm Your Man'', according to George Michael, was "pretty different to anything ham hasever done". According to Michael: History "I'm Your Man" became Wham!'s third number one on the UK Singles Chart, but did not feature on a studio album, and was essentially an isolated single which was only followed up by a re-issue of the previous year's Christmas hit, "Last Christmas". Already the signs were there that George, now bearded, was ready to move his career into an adult market. The song also reached number three on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, prevented from further chart movement by ''Rocky IV'' soundtrack single " Burning Heart" by Survivor and "That's What Friends Are For" by Dionne and Friends. Within six months of "I'm Your Man", Wham! had announced thei ...
