''Ego'' is the third album by the American jazz fusion group The Tony Williams Lifetime, led by drummer Tony Williams. It was recorded during February and March 1971, and was released later that year by Polydor Records. On the album, Williams is joined by guitarist Ted Dunbar, organist Khalid Yasin, bassist and cellist Ron Carter, and percussionists Don Alias and Warren Smith. Jack Bruce also provides vocals on one track. Tracks from ''Ego'' were reissued as part of the 1997 compilation ''Spectrum: The Anthology''. Reception In a review for AllMusic, Stewart Mason called the album "easily the weirdest record the Tony Williams Lifetime ever released," and wrote: "''Ego'' is an experimental blend of post-hard bop jazz and the spacier end of psychedelic rock... parts of the album sound like ''Atom Heart Mother''-era Pink Floyd." Writing for ''Jazz Times'', Giovanni Russonello commented: "Williams was a master at harnessing the tides of change; with Ted Dunbar in the guitar chai ...

Ego (Freudian)
The id, ego, and super-ego are a set of three concepts in psychoanalytic theory describing distinct, interacting agents in the psychic apparatus (defined in Sigmund Freud's structural model of the psyche). The three agents are theoretical constructs that describe the activities and interactions of the mental life of a person. In the ego psychology model of the psyche, the id is the set of uncoordinated instinctual desires; the super-ego plays the critical and moralizing role; and the ego is the organized, realistic agent that mediates between the instinctual desires of the id and the critical super-ego; Freud explained that: The functional importance of the ego is manifested in the fact that, normally, control over the approaches to motility devolves upon it. Thus, in its relation to the id, he egois like a man on horseback, who has to hold in check the superior strength of the horse; with this difference, that the rider tries to do so with his own strength, while the ego us ...

Ego Leonard
Ego Leonard is a Dutch painter and sculptor, and possibly an anonymous guerrilla artist, whose works prominently feature outsized Lego figures. Sometimes the name also is applied to sculptures, apparently made by Leonard, which have been found on beaches at various locations in the world since the late 2000s. The sculptures are in the form of "minifigures", but are constructed from fibreglass enlarged to two and a half metres in height, and have the message “No Real Than You Are” in capital letters written on their torsos. The appearance of an "Ego Leonard" giant figure on Siesta Beach, Florida, became number two on the ''Time'' list of the "Top 10 Oddball-News Stories of 2011." It is unclear whether Ego Leonard is the name of a person or merely a fictional character as the figure, but it is most likely a fictional name, as Ego Leonard can be reworked to read L, Ego or LEGO. The letters can also be rearranged to spell "A LEGO drone". 2007 The first oversized minifigure ...
