City Of Angels (Thirty Seconds To Mars Song)
"City of Angels" is a song by American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, featured on their fourth studio album '' Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams'' (2013). Written by lead vocalist Jared Leto, who co-produced the song with Steve Lillywhite, "City of Angels" was inspired by Leto's experience of living in Los Angeles with his family and was influenced by the city's culture. Imbued with elements of synthrock as well as music from the 1980s, the track was cited as an example of the album's variety and experimentation. It was one of the first songs to be written for ''Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams'', but required a long period of time to record. "City of Angels" was released as a promotional single in July 2013 in the United States, and was serviced to mainstream radio in Europe in October 2013. It received general acclaim from music critics, who commended the song's composition and production. Following the release of ''Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams'', the track appeared in the lower re ...

City Of Angels (1976 TV Series)
''City of Angels'' is a 1976 American television series created by Stephen J. Cannell and Roy Huggins, who had previously worked together on ''The Rockford Files''. American mystery novelist Max Allan Collins has called ''City of Angels'' "the best private eye series ever." Plot Wayne Rogers plays a determined but not wholly ethical private detective, Jake Axminster, who looks out for himself—and somewhat less aggressively for his clients—amid the corruption of Los Angeles, California, in the mid-1930s. He is aided in his investigative efforts by two friends: his ditzy blonde secretary, Marsha Finch (Elaine Joyce), who also runs a call-girl business on the side, and attorney Michael Brimm (Philip Sterling). Brimm is called upon frequently to defend Axminster from charges (mostly trumped-up) leveled against him by Lieutenant Murray Quint (Clifton James), a fat, cigar-chomping, and thoroughly crooked member of the Los Angeles Police Department. Axminster drives a 1934 ...

In The City Of Angels
''In the City of Angels'' is the fifth solo album by Yes lead singer Jon Anderson, released in 1988. Unlike most of Anderson's previous solo works, this album contains many additional songwriters. Consequently, it is the most straight-ahead commercial pop album in his oeuvre. Members of the band Toto perform on several songs. Jon reciprocated the favor by performing on their album ''The Seventh One'' (recorded about the same time as ''In the City of Angels''). Two songs from the album ("Hold on to Love" and "In a Lifetime") were co-written by Lamont Dozier, of Motown records. A music video for "Hold on to Love" aired on TV. In the video, the album is titled ''In the City of Lost Angels''. Chris Squire has a cameo appearance in the video as acoustic bass player. Under The Bridge
"Under the Bridge" is a song by the American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers and the eleventh track on their fifth studio album, ''Blood Sugar Sex Magik'' (1991). Vocalist Anthony Kiedis wrote the lyrics while reflecting on loneliness and the struggles of being clean from drugs, and almost did not share it with the band. Released in March 1992, "Under the Bridge" was praised by critics and fans for its emotional weight. The song was a commercial success and the band's highest-charting single, peaking at number 2 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and certified platinum. It was also a success in other countries, mostly charting in the Top 10. "Under the Bridge" helped the Red Hot Chili Peppers enter the mainstream. David Fricke of ''Rolling Stone'' said that the song "unexpectedly drop-kicked the band into the Top 10". The song has become an inspiration to other artists, and remains a seminal component of the alternative rock movement of the early and mid-1990s. In April 1998, All Sa ...

''Sing Sing Death House'' is the second studio album by the American punk rock band The Distillers, released in 2002 on Hellcat Records. The song "Seneca Falls" was featured in the game ''Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4'' and is a reference to the Seneca Falls Convention of 1848. Recording and production ''Sing Sing Death House'' was recorded in a week. Production was rushed as the band was supposed to have the album completed within two weeks. However, after their engineer disappeared during the recording sessions, the band was forced to rush the album to meet deadlines. Following its completion, Epitaph delayed its release for nine months. Composition and lyrics The lyrics on ''Sing Sing Death House'' are more direct than on the band's self-titled debut album. This came about due to criticism of the album's nonsensical lyrics in a review written by ''The'' ''Village Voice'', which greatly affected Brody.
