Franz Joseph Aumann
Franz Joseph Aumann (also ''Auman'', ''Aumon''; 24 February 1728, Traismauer – 30 March 1797, Sankt Florian) was an Austrian composer. Before his voice broke, he sang in the same Viennese choir as Michael Haydn and Johann Georg Albrechtsberger, composers with whom he later in life traded manuscripts. In view of this circulation, it is not surprising that some of his music has been incorrectly attributed to Haydn. However, his ''Missa Profana,'' satirizing the stuttering and bad singing of a schoolmaster, was once attributed to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Aumann was ordained a priest in the Augustinian Order in St. Florian in 1757, essentially staying there for the rest of his life. He wrote many mass settings. Aumann's music was a large part of the repertoire at St. Florian in the 19th century, and Anton Bruckner availed himself of this resource for his studies of counterpoint. Georg Aumann
Georg Aumann (11 November 1906, Munich, Germany – 4 August 1980), was a German mathematician. He was known for his work in general topology and regulated functions. During World War II, he worked as part of a group of five mathematicians, recruited by Wilhelm Fenner, and which included Ernst Witt, Alexander Aigner, Oswald Teichmueller and Johann Friedrich Schultze, and led by Wolfgang Franz, to form the backbone of the new mathematical research department in the late 1930s, which would eventually be called: Section IVc of Cipher Department of the High Command of the Wehrmacht (abbr. OKW/Chi). He also worked as a cryptanalyst, on the initial breaking of the most difficult cyphers. He also researched and developed cryptography theory. Raimond Aumann
Raimond Aumann (born 12 October 1963) is a German former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. His nickname is Balu (Germanized version of Baloo the bear in the Jungle Book). Career Aumann was born in Augsburg, West Germany. He played in the Bundesliga between 1982 and 1994. The first two years he was only reserve keeper of Bayern Munich (first choice was Jean-Marie Pfaff). In 1984, he became number 1 for the first time until his injury in November 1985. When Pfaff left Bayern Munich in 1988, Aumann became number 1. He was considered one of the best German goalkeepers at that time. With Bayern Munich he won six German championships and twice the German Cup before he transferred in 1994 to Beşiktaş, where he was to help them to a 1995 league victory. Robert Aumann
Robert John Aumann (Hebrew name: , Yisrael Aumann; born June 8, 1930) is an Israeli-American mathematician, and a member of the United States National Academy of Sciences. He is a professor at the Center for the Study of Rationality in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel. He also holds a visiting position at Stony Brook University, and is one of the founding members of the Stony Brook Center for Game Theory. Aumann's Agreement Theorem
Aumann's agreement theorem was stated and proved by Robert Aumann in a paper titled "Agreeing to Disagree", which introduced the set theoretic description of common knowledge. The theorem concerns agents who share a common prior and update their probabilistic beliefs by Bayes' rule. It states that if the probabilistic beliefs of such agents, regarding a fixed event, are common knowledge then these probabilities must coincide. Thus, agents cannot agree to disagree, that is have common knowledge of a disagreement over the posterior probability of a given event.
