Aram Asatryan
Aram Asatryan ( hy, Արամ Ասատրյան; 3 March 1953 – 7 November 2006) was an Armenian singer and songwriter of Armenian pop and rabiz music, known for his energetic concerts. He is widely regarded as the pioneer of the "rabiz" music genre and to this day remains the most popular rabiz singer of all time. Biography Aram Asatryan was born in Ejmiatsin (now known as Vagharshapat) on March 3, 1953 to Hapet Asatryan and Ashken Mampreyan. He was born to a refugee family. Ever since his childhood years, Aram was recognized as a prodigal musician. In 1985, Asatryan formed his own band. Later in life, he gained fame for his distinct voice and musical styling, and was popular both in Armenia and the international community, particularly the Armenian diaspora . Bagrat Asatryan
Bagrat A. Asatryan ( hy, Բագրատ Արտաշեսի Ասատրյան, born February 2, 1956), also transliterated Bagrat Asatrian or Assatrian, is an Armenian economist and the former Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia from 1994 to 1998. He is one of the architects of the modern-day Armenia. On February 3, 1998 because of a political crisis in the country, Bagrat Asatryan resigned from his post with several of his key allies including the President Levon Ter-Petrossian, Vano Siradeghyan, Head of the National Assembly Babken Ararktsyan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Arzumanyan. Hayk Asatryan
Hayk Asatryan ( hy, Հայկ Ասատրյան; 5 February 1900 – 13 January 1956) was an Armenian political theorist, an associate and close friend of Garegin Nzhdeh, and one of the founders of Tseghakronism and Taronism. He authored several books and articles on the history of Armenia. Biography Asatryan was born in Alashkert. During his school years, he joined the Armenian Revolutionary Federation and published the party's newspaper ''Shant'' in Yerevan from 1918 to 1919. He participated in the 1921 February Uprising, and then settled in Bulgaria and Romania. He later studied in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Prague, graduating in 1930 with the title of Doctor of Philosophical Sciences. He remained engaged in ARF party activities and was a member of the ARF Central Committee. Due to disagreements with his colleagues, Asatryan left the party in 1935. Sona Asatryan ( hy, Սոնա Ասատրյան; born 26 April 1999) is an Armenian chess player who holds the FIDE title of Woman International Master (WIM). Biography Sona Asatryan was student of Ashtarak Chess School. In 2013, she won silver medal in Armenian Youth Chess Championship in the U14 girls age group. In 2017, Sona Asatryan won Armenian Women's Chess Championship 1st league. She has repeatedly represented Armenia at European Youth Chess Championships and World Youth Chess Championships, where she won European Youth Chess Championship in 2017 in the U18 girls age group.
