Raymond Zussman
Raymond Zussman (July 23, 1917 – September 21, 1944) was a second lieutenant in the United States Army and a recipient of the United States military's highest decoration—the Medal of Honor—for his actions in France during World War II. Biography Zussman was born July 23, 1917, in Hamtramck, Michigan to Nathan Zussman and Rebecca Leah. Raymound Zussman had seven siblings and his father ran a shoe store. Zussman as boy sang in his synagogue’s choir. He attended Central High School in Detroit. A boy of small stature, Zussman joined the high school football team despite his coach's skepticism. After graduating from high school, Zussman joined Teamsters Local 337 in Detroit, eventually rising to the position of shop steward at his place of employment. Shirley Edith Zussman ( Dlugasch; July 23, 1914 – December 4, 2021) was an American sex therapist based in New York City. She was Jewish. Early life and education Zussman was born Shirley Edit Dlugasch on July 23, 1914, in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Zussman's father, Louis Dlugasch, was a doctor, and her mother, Sara, was a surgical nurse. She was raised in Brooklyn, and attended Girls High School. Zussman received a bachelor's degree in psychology at Smith College in 1934, and a masters in social work in 1937 from the New York School of Social Work at Columbia University. She received her doctorate in education in 1969 from Teachers College, Columbia University. Zussman was supervised through her graduate dissertation by Margaret Mead. Richard Zussman (born September 2, 1983) is a Canadian television reporter. He works for Global BC as an online journalist based at the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. He is a former reporter for the CBC based in Victoria. Eliezer Zussman-Sofer
Eliezer Zussman-Sofer (1828–1902) was a Hungarian rabbi and head of a ''yeshivah''. He was the son of Rabbi Mordechai Efraim Fischel Sofer-Zussman of Pressburg and a son-in-law of Rabbi Joel Ungar of Shochtiz and Paks (Paks). Zussman-Sofer was rabbi of Halas in 1850 and Paks in 1880. He authored a number of works including ''Yalkut Eliezer'', ''Et Sofer'', ''Meleah Ketoret'' and ''Damesek Eliezer''. Julianne Zussman
Julianne Zussman (born January 23, 1987) is a Canadian rugby union player and referee. She represented at three World Cups. She was named as fullback on the dream team of the 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup. In 2016, she was the recipient of the Gillian Florence Award from Rugby Canada. She is the assistant coach of the University of Victoria women's rugby program. Zussman attended McGill University, where she attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in international development. During university she was named the RSEQ rookie-of-the-year in 2004 and an all-conference status in 2005. She completed her Masters in Sport Administration ( MSA) at the AISTS in Switzerland.
