Zulima Farber
Zulima Farber (born 1944) is the former Attorney General of New Jersey and the first Latina (Cuban) to serve as Acting Governor of New Jersey. She was appointed Attorney General in 2006 by Governor of New Jersey, Governor Jon Corzine and resigned on August 31, 2006. She was succeeded by First Assistant Attorney General Anne Milgram on an interim basis until Stuart Rabner took office on September 26, 2006. Biography Zulima Farber fled Cuba with her siblings at age 16 following the takeover by Fidel Castro. Living at first with an aunt until her parents emigrated, she graduated from Memorial High School (West New York, New Jersey), Memorial High School in West New York, New Jersey, West New York, and worked her way through Montclair State University, Montclair State College and Rutgers School of Law–Newark. Jon Stevens Corzine ( ; born January 1, 1947) is an American financial executive and retired politician who served as a United States Senator from New Jersey from 2001 to 2006 and the 54th governor of New Jersey from 2006 to 2010. Corzine ran for a second term as governor but lost to Republican Chris Christie. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously worked at Goldman Sachs; after leaving politics, he was CEO of MF Global from 2010 until its collapse in 2011.
