Zsolt Becsey
Zsolt László Becsey (born 12 January 1964 in Szeged) is a Politics of Hungary, Hungarian politician and former Member of the European Parliament (MEP) with the Fidesz, part of the European People's Party. He sat on the European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs. Becsey was also a substitute for the Committee on Transport and Tourism, substitute for the Delegation to the European Union, EU-Croatia Joint Parliamentary Committee. From 2010 to 2011, Becsey served as State Secretary for Foreign Economic Relations in the Ministry of National Economy. Fidesz – Hungarian Civic Alliance (; hu, Fidesz – Magyar Polgári Szövetség) is a right-wing populist and national-conservative political party in Hungary, led by Viktor Orbán. It was formed in 1988 under the name of Alliance of Young Democrats () as a centre-left and liberal activist movement that opposed the ruling Marxist–Leninist government. It was registered as a political party in 1990, with Orbán as its leader. It entered the National Assembly following the 1990 parliamentary election, although, it lost two seats after the 1994 election. Following the election, it adopted liberal-conservatism which caused liberal members to leave and to join the Alliance of Free Democrats.
