Zoë Svendsen
Zoë Svendsen is a British director and academic. She is currently working as a lecturer in Drama and Performance at the University of Cambridge. Career Svendsen became a lecturer at the University of Cambridge in 2013. Svendsen directed the interactive performance, ''World Factory'' at the Young Vic in 2015. From July 2016 to June 2017, she was part of thFuture Scenarios networked residency programme a project designed to imagine different futures under the auspices of climate change. From October 2017 to July 2018 Svendsen worked as an early career fellow at Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH), moving to Lent Term in 2018. In 2017, she was a resident at the Attenborough Centre of Creative Arts. She is an honorary research fellow aBirkbeck Centrefor Contemporary Theatre. Young Vic
The Young Vic Theatre is a performing arts venue located on The Cut, near the South Bank, in the London Borough of Lambeth. The Young Vic was established by Frank Dunlop in 1970. Kwame Kwei-Armah has been Artistic Director since February 2018, succeeding David Lan. History In the period after World War II, a Young Vic Company was formed in 1946 by director George Devine as an offshoot of the Old Vic Theatre School for the purpose of performing classic plays for audiences aged nine to fifteen. The Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH) is an interdisciplinary research centre within the University of Cambridge. Founded in 2001, CRASSH came into being as a way to create interdisciplinary dialogue across the University’s many faculties and departments in the arts, social sciences, and humanities, as well as to build bridges with scientific subjects. Barbican Centre
The Barbican Centre is a performing arts centre in the Barbican Estate of the City of London and the largest of its kind in Europe. The centre hosts classical and contemporary music concerts, theatre performances, film screenings and art exhibitions. It also houses a library, three restaurants, and a conservatory. Artsadmin
Artsadmin is a UK-based organisation founded in 1979 by Judith Knight, MBE and Seonaid Stewart, providing project management, producing, support and resources for artists working in the fields of performance, dance, live art and mixed media work. They became increasingly aware of the lack of producing and administrative support for independent artists and companies, and set up Artsadmin as a reaction to this. Early partners included Hesitate and Demonstrate, Mike Figgis, Pip Simmons, Welfare State International, Smith and Goody and Natasha Morgan amongst others.
