Zorica Kondža
Zorica Kondža (born 25 June 1960) is a Croatian pop-rock singer. She is best known for her soprano vocal range, which she displayed as the lead vocalist for the 1980s pop-rock music act ''Stijene''. Since 1981, she had participated in most of the Split Festivals until 2014, which she had won 7 times. Other than the Split festivals, she also took part in various other jamborees in Croatia, such as the Zadarfest, Dora and Mesam. She began her solo career in 1984, which gained her success in Croatia and neighbouring countries. Early life Kondža was born in Split to Croatian parents. Soon after her birth, the family relocated to Kaštel Sućurac, where she spent most of her childhood. In her youth, she didn't originally develop a passion for singing, rather acting. Aaron Neville
Aaron Joseph Neville (born January 24, 1941) is a retired American R&B and soul singer. He has had four platinum albums and four Top 10 hits in the United States, including three that reached number one on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart. "Tell It Like It Is", from 1966, also reached the top position on the Soul chart for five weeks. He has also recorded with his brothers Art, Charles and Cyril as the Neville Brothers and is the father of singer/keyboards player Ivan Neville. Neville is of mixed African-American, Caucasian, and Native American (Choctaw) heritage. Career The first of his singles that was given airplay outside of New Orleans was "Over You" (Minit, 1960). Anthony Cetinski (born 31 May 1969), known professionally as Tony Cetinski, is a Croatian pop singer. Today, he is one of the most popular male singers in Croatia and countries of former Yugoslavia. Biography Born into a family of musicians in Pula (then SR Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia), Cetinski began singing when he was 15 years old with various local groups. Vinko Coce
Vinko Coce (22 December 1954 – 27 October 2013) was a prominent Croatian opera and pop singer. Biography Coce was born in Trogir and joined the Klapa ''Trogir'' in 1972. Between 1983 and 1988, he was a tenor in the mixed choir of the Croatian National Theatre in Split. He started a solo singing career in 1991, during which he won the Grand Prix at the Split Festival with the song "Sićaš li se, Lungomare". Coce also won a Porin with the Klapa ''Trogir''. Coce died on 27 October 2013 at Split Hospital after a lengthy undisclosed illness. He was 58. Nenad "Neno" Belan (born 2 February 1962) is a Croatian rock musician known as the frontman of Đavoli, as well as for his solo work. Biography Early career Neno Belan started his career as a teenager in the band Losos, Kavijar i Marsovi Bizoni (''Salmon, Caviar and Bisons from Mars''). is a Croatian patriotic song originally recorded in 1991 as a charity single by a supergroup called (Croatian Band Aid) featuring a number of prominent local musicians from all musical genres. The authors of the music and lyrics are Zrinko Tutić and Rajko Dujmić. The song was arranged by Nikša Bratoš, while the instrumental solos were composed by Damir Lipošek, Vedran Božić, and Husein Hasanefendić. Zdenko Runjić
Zdenko Runjić (26 October 1942 – 27 October 2004) was a Croatian songwriter. In his long career, he established himself as one of the most prolific and most popular songwriters of former Yugoslavia and Croatia. Biography Runjić was born on 26 October 1942 in the village of Garčin near Slavonski Brod. Many of his songs were inspired by the folk traditions of Dalmatia. The songs became classics and Runjić helped the careers of many notable Croatian musicians such as Oliver Dragojević, Doris Dragović and Meri Cetinić.
