Zone Club
Zone Club was a European lifestyle (sociology), lifestyle and entertainment channel. It launched in 1998 as Club. It then launched on 1 April 2001 in Poland, and on 13 September 2004 in Hungary. The Hungarian version was originally 24/7 on the UPC Direct satellite platform, but on cable, it timeshared with TV2 (Hungarian TV channel), TV2's Írisz TV, which was broadcast between 18:00-23:00 CET. On 27 June 2006, as part of Zone Vision's channels rebranded under the "Zone" brand, Club became Zone Club. The channel became 24/7 in Hungary on 1 January 2007, when Írisz TV closed. The channel focused on six programme categories: fashion, style, health, home, travel, food and Interpersonal relationship, relationships. It also broadcast dramas and documentaries. It targeted women aged 18 to 39 and was available 24/7 in five languages, reaching 6 million viewers in 22 countries across Europe, the Arab World and Korea. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. TV2 (Hungarian TV Channel)
TV2 (TV Kettő) is a Hungarian free-to-air television channel operating since 4 October 1997, providing a large variety of programming. It is rivaling with RTL for the first place in Hungarian television ratings. Among its most popular self-produced shows were Megasztár ("Mega Star", an adaptation of Pop Idol), and the daily prime time soap Jóban Rosszban, and US shows like Desperate Housewives, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Numb3rs, Heroes, Smallville, House M.D., Ghost Whisperer and Lipstick Jungle.
