Zoltán Király
Zoltán Király (born 23 May 1948) is a Hungarian journalist, educator and politician, member of the National Assembly (MP) for Szeged (Csongrád County Constituency V then II) between 1985 and 1994. Biography Király was born in Kiskunfélegyháza on 23 May 1948. He finished his primary and secondary studies in Kecskemét. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the József Attila University in 1971. He studied pedagogy in the Juhász Gyula Teacher Training College (today part of the University of Szeged) between 1975 and 1979. He served as a responsible for culture in the Bács-Kiskun County Committee of the Hungarian Young Communist League (KISZ) between 1971 and 1978. He edited the ''Petőfi Népe'' between 1973 and 1975 and the Szolnok studio of the Magyar Rádió from 1975 to 1978. He also worked for the Magyar Televízió. The National Assembly ( hu, Országgyűlés, lit=Country Assembly) is the parliament of Hungary. The unicameral body consists of 199 (386 between 1990 and 2014) members elected to 4-year terms. Election of members is done using a semi-proportional representation: a mixed-member majoritarian representation with partial scorporo, compensation via transfer votes and mixed single vote; involving single-member districts and one list vote; parties must win at least 5% of the popular vote in order to gain list seats assembly. The Assembly includes 25 standing committees to debate and report on introduced bills and to supervise the activities of the ministers. 1990 Hungarian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Hungary on 25 March 1990, with a second round of voting taking place in all but five single member constituencies on 8 April. They were the first completely free and competitive elections to be held in the country since 1945, and only the second completely free elections with universal suffrage in the country's history. The conservative, nationalist Hungarian Democratic Forum (MDF) beat the liberal and more internationalist Alliance of Free Democrats, which had spearheaded opposition to Communist rule in 1989, to become the largest party in parliament. The Hungarian Socialist Party, the former Communist party, suffered a crushing defeat, winning only 33 seats for fourth place. MDF leader József Antall became prime minister in coalition with the Christian Democratic People's Party and Independent Smallholders' Party. László Kapolyi
László Kapolyi (7 June 1932 — 28 November 2014) was a Hungary, Hungarian mining engineer, businessman and politician, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. His research areas included rock mechanics as well as energy management and policy. Between 1983 and 1987 he was Hungary's Minister for Industry.
