Znamya Trudovoi Kommuny
''Znamya Trudovoi Kommuny'' (Banner of the Labour Commune) was a Russian newspaper, published originally, from July 26 to August 18, 1918, under the title «Знамя борьбы» (''Znamya Borby'', Banner of Struggle) as the organ of a group of Left Socialist-Revolutionaries. Later, from August 21, it was the organ of the Party of Narodnik Communists, a break-away from the Left Socialist-Revolutionary Party. Left Socialist-Revolutionaries
The Party of Left Socialist-Revolutionaries (russian: Партия левых социалистов-революционеров-интернационалистов) was a revolutionary socialist political party formed during the Russian Revolution. In 1917, the Socialist Revolutionary Party split between those who supported the Russian Provisional Government, established after the February Revolution and those who supported the Bolsheviks, who favoured the overthrow of the Provisional Government and the placing of political power in the hands of the Congress of Soviets. Those that continued to support the Provisional Government became known as the Right SRs while those who aligned with the Bolsheviks became known as the Left Socialist-Revolutionaries or Left SRs. After the October Revolution, the Left SRs formed a coalition government with the Bolsheviks from November 1917 to July 1918, but resigned its position in government after the signing of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk ...

Party of Narodnik Communists was a political party in Russia. The party was formed by a section of Left Socialist-Revolutionaries, who wished to cooperate with the Bolsheviks. ''Znamya Trudovoi Kommuny'' was the central organ of the party. The formation of the Party of Narodnik Communists, as well as the Party of Revolutionary Communism (another Left SR dissident group), took place after the provocative assassination of the German Ambassador Mirbach by the Left Socialist-Revolutionaries and the revolt of the Left Socialist-Revolutionaries on July 6–7, 1918. The Party of Narodnik Communists condemned the anti-Soviet activities of the Left Socialist-Revolutionaries and formed a party of their own at a conference in September 1918.
