Zlatna Panega River
Zlatna Panega ( bg, Златна Панега, "golden Panega", '' also'': Panega, ''old'': Paneg, Altǎn Paneg) is a river in central northern Bulgaria, originating from a karst source at the village of Zlatna Panega, Yablanitsa municipality, Lovech Province. During the Ottoman rule in Bulgaria (till 1878) it was known as "Altǎn Paneg". Zlatna Panega's source is the largest Karst source in Bulgaria and the water temperature is relatively constant throughout the year. Although the Zlatna Panega is only several dozen kilometres in length, it runs through the villages of Zlatna Panega, Rumyantsevo, Petrevene and the town of Lukovit before emptying into Iskar River. It is also very popular among Bulgaria's fishing community, as it is a great place to fish brown trout (with specimen over 1.5 kilograms), rainbow trout (some over 4 kilograms), chub, mountain barbel and even ide and perch. European Chub
''Squalius cephalus'' is a European species of freshwater fish in the carp family Cyprinidae. It frequents both slow and moderate rivers, as well as canals and still waters of various kinds. This species is referred to as the common chub, European chub, or simply chub. Description It is a stocky fish with a large rounded head. Its body is long and cylindrical in shape and is covered in large greenish-brown scales which are edged with narrow bands of black across the back, paling to golden on the flanks and even paler on the belly. The tail is dark brown or black, the dorsal fin is a greyish-green in colour and all the other fins are orange-red. The dorsal fin has 3 spines and 7-9 soft rays while the anal fin has 3 spines and 7-10 rays. The vertebrae count is 42-48. It can grow to 60 cm standard length but most fish are around 30 cm. The South Shetland Islands are a group of Antarctic islands with a total area of . They lie about north of the Antarctic Peninsula, and between southwest of the nearest point of the South Orkney Islands. Livingston Island
Livingston Island (Russian name ''Smolensk'', ) is an Antarctic island in the Southern Ocean, part of the South Shetlands Archipelago, a group of Antarctic islands north of the Antarctic Peninsula. It was the first land discovered south of 60° south latitude in 1819, a historic event that marked the end of a centuries-long pursuit of the mythical ''Terra Australis Incognita'' and the beginning of the exploration and utilization of real Antarctica. Panega Glacier ( bg, ледник Панега, lednik Panega, ) on Varna Peninsula, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica is situated southeast of the northeastern portion of Saedinenie Snowfield, south of Rose Valley Glacier, southwest of Debelt Glacier and north of lower Kaliakra Glacier. It drains the southeast slopes of Vidin Heights and flows into Moon Bay between Helis Nunatak and Perperek Knoll. The glacier extends in the southeast-northwest direction, and in the southwest-northeast direction. It is named after Zlatna Panega River in northern Bulgaria. Perch is a common name for fish of the genus ''Perca'', freshwater gamefish belonging to the family Percidae.
