Zipper Club
Zipper Club was an American musical group from Los Angeles, California. The group was formed by members Mason James of Cerebral Ballzy and solo artist Lissy Trullie. History Zipper Club was initially formed from the writing of Mason James of Cerebral Ballzy. After touring internationally for many years, James left the group to start a new project. He wanted to explore new instrumentations and musical styles so he began writing songs that were inspired by the diverse musical taste of his childhood. He spent the next couple years honing his sound in his bedroom. James met up with Trullie to write and record the rest of the record, coming up with the name Zipper Club in the process. Cerebral Ballzy is an American punk rock band from Brooklyn, New York, United States. The band was formed in 2008 and released their debut, self-titled, album on 26 July 2011. The album was released in full as an online preview on the ''Revolver'' magazine website. Cerebral Ballzy are known for their love of 1980s punk, along with a keen interest in drinking, girls, pizza and skateboarding. The band has received praise for their debut single "Insufficient Fare" and their energetic live performances. According to lead singer Honor Titus, the name Cerebral Ballzy came from a friend who dropped a slice of pizza on a train track and picked it up. Elizabeth McChesney, better known by the stage name Lissy Trullie, is an American singer-songwriter and former model. She released her debut EP, ''Self-Taught Learner'', in February 2009, and as of 2009, performed with a band named Lissy Trullie. She released her full-length debut album on April 10, 2012. James Iha
(born March 26, 1968) is an American rock musician. He is best known as a guitarist and co-founder of the alternative rock band the Smashing Pumpkins. He was a member until the initial breakup in 2000. Among his musical projects of recent years, Iha has been a permanent fixture of A Perfect Circle. He was most recently a member of Tinted Windows, a 1960s/1970s inspired group with members of Cheap Trick, Fountains of Wayne, and Hanson. He rejoined the Smashing Pumpkins in 2018.
