Zimri Dinsmore Thomas (born September 16, 1809) was a Michigan politician. Early life Thomas was born in Rowe, Massachusetts on September 16, 1809. In 1820, Thomas moved to central New York. Career Thomas served as postmaster at Hamburg, New York for six years. In 1835, Thomas moved to Michigan. From 1857 to 1858, Thomas served as supervisor of Allen Township, Michigan. Hillsdale County is a county located in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 45,746. The county seat is Hillsdale. Hillsdale County is the only county in Michigan to border both Indiana and Ohio. Due to an angle in the state's southern border, Hillsdale County has the southernmost point in the state.
