Zijan (band)
Zijan (Arabic: ; ) is a village in Bani Hushaysh District of Sanaa Governorate, Yemen. It is located just north of the historic fort of Dhu Marmar. Abū Muḥammad al-Ḥasan ibn Aḥmad ibn Yaʿqūb al-Hamdānī (279/280-333/334 A.H. / c. 893-945 A.D; ar, أبو محمد الحسن بن أحمد بن يعقوب الهمداني) was an Arab Muslim geographer, chemist, poet, grammarian, historian, and astronomer, from the tribe of Banu Hamdan, western 'Amran, Yemen.
