Zhymyky
The Zhymyky ( kk, Жымықы; russian: Жимыкы) is a river in the Ulytau District, Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan. It has a length of and a drainage basin of .Google Earth The river flows across the road that runs roughly from east to west between Koskol and Karsakpay. Course The Zhymyky has its origin in the southwestern slopes of the Ulutau Range, to the west of the Lakbay wintering settlement. It heads roughly westwards and northwestwards within a deep, steep channel. In its final stretch the river bends and flows roughly southwestwards, bending southwards near the end and flowing into the northeastern shores of the Shubarteniz lake. Shubarteniz
Shubarteniz ( kk, Шұбартеңіз; russian: Шубартениз) is a salt lake in Ulytau District, Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan. In 1728, one of the battles of the Kazakh–Dzungar Wars took place near the lake and ended with the victory of the Kazakh Army. Geography Shubarteniz is a salt lake lying at the northern end of the Turan Lowland. Karaganda Region
Karaganda Region ( kk, Qarağandy oblysy; russian: Карагандинская область, translit=Karagandinskaja oblast′), also spelled Qaraghandy Region, is a region of Kazakhstan. Its capital is Karaganda. On 17 March 2022 it was announced that Karaganda would be divided, with the formation of the Ulytau Region. This officially came into force on 8 June 2022. History The region was the site of intense coal mining during the days of the Soviet Union and also the site of several Gulag forced labor camps. Following World War II, Joseph Stalin, leader of the Soviet Union, had many ethnic Germans deported to the area. There have been constant border changes within the region's history. Google Earth is a computer program that renders a 3D computer graphics, 3D representation of Earth based primarily on satellite imagery. Koskol ( kk, Қоскөл; russian: Косколь), is a village in the Ulytau District, Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan. It is the head of the Koskol Rural District (КАТО code — 356055100). Karsakpay
Karsakpay ( kk, Қарсақпай, ''Qarsaqpaı''; russian: Карсакпай), is a town in the Ulytau District, Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan. Population: Geography Karsakpay is located on a mostly flat and arid plain at about above sea level. The town lies on the southern side of a dam.
