Zhengzhou–Xuzhou High-speed Railway
Zhengzhou–Xuzhou high-speed railway, or Zhengxu Passenger Dedicated Line, is a high-speed rail line operated by China Railway Shanghai Group and China Railway Zhengzhou Group, connecting the cities of Zhengzhou, the provincial capital of Henan, and Xuzhou in northern Jiangsu. The length of the railway is 362.39 kilometers and the investment is estimated to be CN¥48.62 billion. It is one of the segments of the Xuzhou-Lanzhou HSR Corridor, a high-speed railway corridor from Lanzhou to Xuzhou, paralleling the existing Longhai Railway. Presently, the existing conventional-speed Xuzhou-Zhengzhou railway is used e.g. by passenger trains traveling from Shanghai and Nanjing to Xi'an, Lanzhou, and points west. The Jinan–Guangzhou Expressway (), designated as G35 and commonly referred to as the Jiguang Expressway (), is an expressway that connects the cities of Jinan, Shandong, China, and Guangzhou, Guangdong. Xuzhou (徐州), also known as Pengcheng (彭城) in ancient times, is a major city in northwestern Jiangsu province, China. Shangqiu Railway Station
The Shangqiu railway station () is a railway station on Longhai railway and Xuzhou–Lanzhou high-speed railway in Shangqiu, Henan, China. History The history of the station dates back to 1912, when the French engineers responsible for route selection of the Kaifeng–Xuzhou section of Longhai railway began site survey just outside the north city gate of Guide (now Shangqiu). Since local gentries strongly opposed to the station site for the reason of Feng shui, the site of the station was moved about 7.5 km north and was named as Zhuji railway station ().
