Zhengzhou BRT Route B1
Zhengzhou BRT Route B1 is a bus rapid transit route operated by Zhengzhou Bus. The route is the first ever route with dedicated bus lanes in Zhengzhou BRT. History The route was officially commenced on 28 May 2009, together with 8 other feeder routes. The route was initially a loop line running on Nongye Road, Zhongzhou Avenue, Weilai Road, Hanghai Road and Tongbai Road. Due to the construction of Zhengzhou Metro Line 5 on Hanghai Road and Tongbai Road and the construction of Nongye Expressway above Nongye Road, most platforms of the route on these three roads have been removed. Currently, services of the route on Nongye Road has been suspended. Route The route is U-shaped, running on Zhongzhou Avenue, Weilai Road, Hanghai Road, Tongbai Road, Wulongkou S. Road and Dianchang Road, with the eastern terminus at Zhongzhou Avenue and Nongye Road and the western terminus at Dianchang Road B/T. Zhengzhou BRT
Zhengzhou Bus Rapid Transit is a bus rapid transit system in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province in the People's Republic of China. The system has 5 main trunk routes with dedicated bus lanes along with a number of feeder routes that run for a portion of the corridor and serves other areas. History Construction of the first segment started in 2008 and free trial operations started on May 22, 2009. The system officially started operation on May 28, 2009 with a 30 km loop line (B1) with 38 stations. Average ridership of the system in 2014 was 700,000 passengers. It is believed that the daily ridership was approximately 1 million passengers after the opening of the first segment of the 23.7 km long 3rd Ring Road loop line (B3) on June 26, 2014. Zhengzhou BRT Route B2
Zhengzhou BRT Route B2 is a bus rapid transit route operated by Zhengzhou Bus. It is the 2nd route with dedicated bus lanes in Zhengzhou BRT. History The route was commenced on 26 January 2014, operating on Changchun Road, Lianhua Street, Ruida Road, Huagong Road, Rantun Road and Nongye Road. Due to the construction of Nongye Expressway, the route was diverted from Nongye Road to Dongfeng Road on 21 July 2015. After the completion of Nongye Expressway with new island platforms under the elevated highway, the east section of the route returned to Nongye Road on 26 May 2017. In 2019, trolleybus overheads have been installed under the Nongye Elevated for conversion of B2 to an eBRT corridor, marking the return of trolleybuses to Zhengzhou. Line 5 of Zhengzhou Metro () is a rapid transit line in Zhengzhou that runs in a loop around the city center. It is the only loop-line planned in the Zhengzhou Metro system. The line opened on 20 May 2019. This line is the first rapid transit line to use the "A size" trains in Zhengzhou.
