Zhao Shi (politician)
Zhao Shi (; born August 1953) is a Chinese politician. She was a member of the 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. She was a representative of the 13th, 14th, 16th and 17th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. Biography Zhao was born in Changchun, Jilin, in August 1953, while her ancestral home in Beijing. During the Cultural Revolution, she was a sent-down youth in Qianguo County, Liuhe County, and Dehui County between November 1968 and September 1975. She joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in May 1979. Beginning in September 1975, she served in several posts in Changchun Film Studio, including deputy director, director, deputy manager, deputy party secretary, and party secretary. In September 1992, she was appointed deputy party secretary of Changchun, capital of Jilin province. Zhao (surname)
Zhao (; ) is a Chinese-language surname, means “walk quickly” and “jump” in ancient Chinese, and is the 1st surname in the famous Hundred Family Surnames – the traditional list of all Chinese surnames – because it was the emperor's surname of the Song Dynasty (960–1279) when the list was compiled. The first line of the poem is in the line 趙錢孫李 (Zhao, Qian, Sun, Li). Zhao is now ranking as the 7th most common surname in China and carried mainly by people of Mandarin-speaking regions. Changchun Film Studio Group Corporation () is a Chinese film production company in Changchun. It is one of the studios transitioned from the 1940s, and has been considered one of the cornerstones of the Chinese film industry. Early history The surrender of Japan in World War II caused the Manchukuo Film Association to disband in 1946. The parts that were sanctioned by the Chinese government would integrate with the Yan'an Film Studio () and the Northeast Film Studio. The War of Liberation would break out in 1949 forcing the studio to move to Changchun.
