Zhang Jianya
Zhang Jianya (, ) (born 1951) is a Chinese film director. As a graduate of the 1982 class of the Beijing Film Academy, Zhang is a founding member of the so-called Fifth Generation, a group that also includes in its numbers directors such as Zhang Yimou, Chen Kaige, and Tian Zhuangzhuang.Zhang, Yingjin & Xiao, Zhiwei (1998). The International Film Festival of India (IFFI), founded in 1952, is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. Crash Landing (1999 Film)
''Crash Landing'' () is a 1999 Chinese thriller film directed by Zhang Jianya. A Shanghai Film Studio production, ''Crash Landing'' follows the contours of many airplane disaster films, such as the ''Airport'' series, and stars Shao Bing, Xu Fan, and You Yong. Plot ''Crash Landing'' follows the tense hours on board a stricken passenger aircraft that was on a routine flight from Shanghai to Beijing. Shortly after taking off, the pilot (Shao Bing) discovers that the plane's landing gear is unable to be retracted. Unable to continue, but unable to land, he and his flight attendant wife (Xu Fan), are forced to circle Shanghai. ''San Mao Joins the Army'' () is a 1992 Chinese comedy film directed and co-written by Zhang Jianya and starring Wei Zongwan and Jia Lin. It is base on the Manhua of the same name by Zhang Leping. It was produced and distributed by Shanghai Film Studio. The film premiered in China in 1992. The film follows the story of San Mao and his comrade-in-arms Laogui in the Battle of Shanghai.
