Zhang Hongsen
Zhang Hongsen (; born August 1964) is a Chinese writer and politician, currently serving as party branch secretary and vice president of China Writers Association. He was a representative of the 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. He is a representative of the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party and a member of the 20th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. Early life and education Zhang was born in Zibo County (now Zibo), Shandong, in August 1964, and graduated from Zibo Normal School (now Shandong University of Technology). Political career Zhang was a writer and editor in Shandong Zibo Federation of Literary and Art Circles in 1983, and was promoted to vice president in 1994. The 20th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was elected by the 20th National Congress in October 2022, and will sit until the next National Congress is convened in 2027. It formally succeeded the 19th Central Committee. The committee is composed of full members and alternate members. A full member has voting rights, while an alternate does not. If a full member is removed from the Central Committee the vacancy is then filled by an alternate member at the next committee plenum – the alternate member who received the most confirmation votes in favor is highest on the order of precedence. China Writers Association or Chinese Writers Association (CWA, ) is a subordinate people's organization of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC). Founded in July 1949, the organization was initially named the China National Literature Workers Association. In September 1953, it was renamed the China Writers Association. The association's leadership was purged shortly after the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre. In April 2012, the organization changed its translated name to China Writers Association. The 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), commonly referred to as ''Èrshí Dà'' (), opened in Beijing on 16 October 2022 and closed on 22 October 2022.
