Zhang Fengzhong
Zhang Fengzhong (; born 8 March 1966) is a major general in the People's Liberation Army of China. He is a representative of the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party and an alternate member of the 20th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. Biography Zhang was born in Xinyi County (now Xinyi), Jiangsu, on 8 March 1966, to Zhang Shilun () and Su Yulian (). He is the third of five children. In 1984, he entered the Second Artillery Force Engineering Academy and also graduated from the PLA National Defence University. He enlisted in the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in September 1984, and joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in June 1989. He was director of the Political Department of the 53 Rocket Force Base before serving as political commissar of Rocket Army Base 51 in July 2016. The 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), commonly referred to as ''Èrshí Dà'' (), opened in Beijing on 16 October 2022 and closed on 22 October 2022. The CCP Congress endorsed the membership list of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and elected the 20th Central Committee of the CCP. (; ja, 将, Shō; ) is the rank held by general officers in some East Asian militaries. The ranks are used in both the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China on Taiwan. The People's Liberation Army and the People's Armed Police use three levels at present while the Republic of China Armed Forces use four. In both North and South Korea the rank is also used. Chinese variant People's Liberation Army The same rank names are used for all services, prefixed by ''haijun'' () or ''kongjun'' (). 20th Central Committee Of The Chinese Communist Party
The 20th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was elected by the 20th National Congress in October 2022, and will sit until the next National Congress is convened in 2027. It formally succeeded the 19th Central Committee. The committee is composed of full members and alternate members. A full member has voting rights, while an alternate does not. If a full member is removed from the Central Committee the vacancy is then filled by an alternate member at the next committee plenum – the alternate member who received the most confirmation votes in favor is highest on the order of precedence. To be elected to the Central Committee, a candidate must be a party member for at least five years. The People's Liberation Army (PLA) is the principal military force of the People's Republic of China and the armed wing of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The PLA consists of five service branches: the Ground Force, Navy, Air Force, Rocket Force, and Strategic Support Force. It is under the leadership of the Central Military Commission (CMC) with its chairman as commander-in-chief. Xinyi, Jiangsu
Xinyi () is a county-level city under the administration of Xuzhou, Jiangsu province, China. It borders the prefecture-level cities of Linyi (Shandong) to the north, Lianyungang to the northeast, and Suqian to the east and south. History The archaeological site of Huating, located in the southwestern part, was inhabited as long as 5,000 years ago. During the Zhou dynasty, its southern territory was dominated by a minor state: Zhongwu, which was variously annexed to Wu, Yue and Chu. Major General
Major general (abbreviated MG, maj. gen. and similar) is a military rank used in many countries. It is derived from the older rank of sergeant major general. The disappearance of the "sergeant" in the title explains the apparent confusion of a lieutenant general outranking a major general, whereas a major outranks a lieutenant. In the Commonwealth of Nations, Commonwealth and in the United States, when appointed to a field command, a major general is typically in command of a Division (military), division consisting of around 6,000 to 25,000 troops (several regiments or brigades).
