Gustav Georg Zeltner
Gustav Georg Zeltner (16 September 1672, in Hiltpoltstein – 20 July 1738, in Poppenreuth) was a Lutheran theologian. Zeltner wrote numerous theological and historical writings. Life From 1689 to 1694 he studied philosophy and theology at the University of Jena. In 1695 he assumed the position of inspector of the alumni in Altdorf. In 1698 he moved to Nuremberg and worked as a vicar and as a professor of metaphysics at the Aegidianum. Two years later he was appointed deacon at St. Sebaldus Church, Nuremberg. During his time in Nuremberg, Zeltner get his doctorate in theology and returned to Altdorf in 1706 to teach theology and oriental studies at the local university. Jürg Zeltner
Jürg Zeltner (4 May 1967 – 22 March 2020) was a Swiss corporate executive. He last served as Group CEO and member of the Board of Directors at KBL European Private Bankers. He was earlier the President of UBS Wealth Management from November 2014 to December 2017. He stepped down from the Group Executive Board at the end of 2017, and retired from the firm as of 2018. He had served as a member of the UBS Group Executive Board since February 2009. From February 2009 to January 2012 he was co-CEO of Wealth Management and Swiss Bank. In February 2016, Zeltner ranked first among the best global private banking CEOs, according to a 2016 Euromoney private banking survey. In 2019, he was diagnosed with a severe brain tumor. He died on 22 March 2020. His son Thomas Zeltner founded Zeltner & Co GmbH in 2021 on the basis of Jürg Zeltner's legacy. Thomas Zeltner (born 16 November 1947) is a Swiss physician and lawyer. He is the current chairman and interim CEO of the WHO Foundation. He was also the former Secretary of Health of Switzerland Federal Department of Home Affairs FDHA. He has a long history in public health and has repeatedly been ranked among the 12 most influential political figures of Switzerland. Zeltner is professor at the University of Bern, Switzerland, in Public Health and visiting scientist at the Harvard School of Public Health. He chairs the Swiss Research Institute for Public Health and Addiction (Zürich) and is President of UNESCO Commission of Switzerland.
