Zee Tamil is an Indian Tamil language general entertainment pay television channel owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises. The channel started broadcasting on 2008 and is available internationally. The channel broadcasts from Guindy, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Zee Entertainment Enterprises also launched a full Tamil movie channel named ''Zee Thirai'' in 2020. History Zee Tamil was launched on 12 October 2008 as the third south Indian channel after Zee Telugu and Zee Kannada. It was launched under Zee Entertainment Enterprises. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. Zee Telugu is an Indian Telugu-language general entertainment pay television channel in India. It was launched on 12 September 2004 as ''Alpha Telugu'' and was rebranded as ''Zee Telugu'' on 18 May 2005. The channel is owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises. Zee Telugu was the 9th most popular channel in India and had a TRP of 1593 impressions as of September 2021. Establishment In 2004, Zee Network had channels in Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, and Punjabi.
