Israel entered the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 with the song "Ze Rak Sport" by Dafna Dekel after she won the Israeli national final. Before Eurovision Kdam Eurovision 1992 This Israeli broadcaster, IBA, held a national final to select the Israeli entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1992, held in Malmö, Sweden. The contest was held at the IBA TV Studios in Jerusalem, hosted by Ronnie Yoval and Noam Aviram. 12 songs competed, with the winner being decided through the votes of 7 regional juries. Dafna Dekel
Dafna Dekel ( he, דפנה דקל; born 7 May 1966, in Ashdod, Israel) is an Israeli singer, actress and television personality. Biography Dafna Dekel was born in Ashdod, Israel, to a family of Yemenite-Jewish descent. She was discovered while serving in the Nahal entertainment troupe of the Israel Defense Forces in 1985-1986. After her release from the army, Dekel was cast in the Israeli musical ''Salah Shabati'' produced in honor of Israel's 40th anniversary. In 1989, she released her first self-titled album. Although the album had 4 songs written and/or composed by Dekel, her biggest hits were songs written for her by others. In 1989, she sang in the children's holiday show "Festigal" with the song "Mah koreh li?" (What's happening to me?) and performed a Yemenite medley with the Yosefi Sisters and Margalit Tzan'ani. Ramat Gan ( he, רָמַת גַּן or , ) is a city in the Tel Aviv District of Israel, located east of the municipality of Tel Aviv and part of the Tel Aviv metropolitan area. Yugoslavia participated for the last time in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992, held in Malmö, Sweden as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (consisting of Serbia and Montenegro). The last Yugoslav representative was Extra Nena with the song "Ljubim te pesmama". Before Eurovision Jugovizija 1992 The national final was held on 28 March 1992 in the RTV Belgrade Studios in Belgrade. The show was hosted by Dragana Katić and Radoš Bajić. Kobi Oshrat ( he, קובי אשרת; born July 15, 1944) is an Israeli composer and conductor. He composed and conducted the winning entry at the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest ''Hallelujah'' sung by the vocal ensemble Milk and Honey. Biography Yaakov (Kobi) Ventura (later Kobi Oshrat) was born in Haifa to parents who had immigrated from Salonika. After an early career on the Israeli stage, in 1969 he began composing and arranging music for radio, TV, film and advertisements.
