Zdzisław Żygulski (art Historian)
Zdzisław Żygulski (18 August 1921 – 14 May 2015) was a Polish art historian and professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. The son of Zdzisław Żygulski (senior), he was the curator of the Arms and Armour Section of the Czartoryski Museum from 1949 until his death in 2015 in Kraków, aged 93. From 1975–81, he was the President of the International Association of Museums of Art and Military History. Boryslav
Boryslav ( uk, Борислав; pl, Borysław) is a city located on the Tysmenytsia (river), Tysmenytsia (a tributary of the Dniester), in Drohobych Raion, Lviv Oblast (Oblast, region) of western Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Boryslav urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Boryslav is a major center of petroleum industry. Population: History The area of the modern town of Boryslav has been inhabited at least since the Bronze Age. There are remnants of a Paganism, pagan shrine from the 1st millennium BC located in the area, where approximately 270 petroglyphs are found, mostly depicting solar signs – symbols of a pre-Christian Solar deity. The Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków ( pl, Akademia Sztuk Pięknych im. A curator (from la, cura, meaning "to take care") is a manager or overseer. The Princes Czartoryski Museum ( pl, Muzeum Książąt Czartoryskich ) – often abbreviated to Czartoryski Museum – is a historic museum in Kraków, Poland, and one of the country's oldest museums. The initial collection was formed in 1796 in Puławy by Princess Izabela Czartoryska.
