Zaza Kolelishvili
Zaza Kolelishvili ( ka, ზაზაკოლელიშვილი; born January 11, 1957, in Telavi, Georgia) is a Georgian film and television actor, film director and artist. He is best known for '' The Wishing Tree 1977'', ''Garigeba'' and ''Kukaracha''. Biography He studied philology at the Tbilisi State University in 1997. Zaza studied acting at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University and the same University he studied directing in 1996. In 1981–1984, he worked at the Telavi State Theatre. In 1984–1991, he was working at the Rustaveli Theatre. Since 1985 Zaza is working at film studio Kartuli Pilmi. Telavi
Telavi ( ka, თელავი ) is the main city and administrative center of Georgia's eastern province of Kakheti. Its population consists of some 19,629 inhabitants (as of the year 2014). The city is located on the foothills of the Tsiv-Gombori Range at above sea level. History The first archaeological findings from Telavi date back to the Bronze Age. One of the earliest surviving accounts of Telavi is from the 2nd century AD, by Greek geographer Claudius Ptolemaeus, who mentions the name ''Teleda'' (a reference to ''Telavi''). Telavi began to transform into a fairly important and large political and administrative center in the 8th century. ''The Wishing Tree'' ( ka, ნატვრის ხე, , russian: Древо желания, drevo zhelania) is a 1976 Georgian drama film directed by Tengiz Abuladze. It won the Lenin Prize, the All-Union Film Festival main prize and other prizes. The film is based on Giorgi Leonidze's short stories. The textures of folk legend and striking visual allegory permeate ''The Wishing Tree'', an episodic pastorale set in a pre-revolutionary Georgian village and spanning four seasons in the lives of various village characters. Shota Rustaveli Theater and Georgia State Film University (TAFU) is one of the oldest universities in the Caucasus and Georgia. Rustaveli National Theatre ( ka, შოთა რუსთაველის სახელობის აკადემიური თეატრი ) is the largest and one of the oldest theaters of Georgia, located in its capital Tbilisi on Rustaveli Avenue. Housed in an ornate Rococo-style edifice, the theatre was founded in 1887 and since 1921 has carried the name of Georgia's national poet Rustaveli. Kukaracha ( ka, კუკარაჩა) is a Georgian film released in 1982. It is based on the story of Nodar Dumbadze. Directors of the film are: Siko Dolidze and Keti Dolidze.
