Zay Jeffries (April 22, 1888 – May 21, 1965) was an American mining engineer, metallurgist, consulting engineer and recipient of the 1946 John Fritz Medal.W.D. Nix.Zay Jeffries" National Academy of Sciences. 2013 Biography Jeffries was born in Willow Lake, South Dakota as one of the nine children of Johnston Jeffries and Florence (Sutton) Jeffries. He obtained his BSc in mining engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1910. Three years later, he also obtained his MSc in metallurgical engineering from the same school, and in 1918 Harvard University awarded him his Doctor of Science degree. After his graduation in 1910 he started as an assayer for the Custer mining company in South Dakota, and later that year he accepted an appointment as an instructor at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Zay Khay Sheen
Ze Khe Sheen (born Zahida Khatun Sherwani; 18 December 1894 – 2 February 1922; sometimes spelled Zay Khay Sheen) was an Indian poet and writer who wrote in the Urdu language and was also an activist for women's rights. She published her poetry under the pseudonyms Zay Khay Sheen (or Z-Kh-S) and Nuzhat, as her conservative Muslim society did not permit women to write poetry or initiate movements upholding the rights of women. She belonged to a rich family of landholders of the Sherwani tribe. Her poems and ghazals in Urdu, which had a "female touch", had romantic appeal for young people. Xavien "Zay" Kevonn Flowers (born September 11, 2000) is an American football wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Boston College and was selected by the Ravens in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Early life and high school Flowers was born to Willie Flowers and Jackie Walden on September 11, 2000. When Flowers was five years old, his mother passed away from a head injury. Adele Zay (29 February 1848 – 29 December 1928) was a Transylvanian teacher, feminist and pedagogue. Her family were part of the German-speaking community of the Kingdom of Hungary. Because of her father's death during her infancy, Zay's education was interrupted by periods where she taught to earn money in order to continue private and formal studies. In 1880 after studying abroad in Vienna and Gotha, she passed her primary education certification for Germany and Hungary. The following year, she was certified as a secondary teacher, becoming the first Transylvanian woman to have earned a higher education.
