Zander Schloss
Zander Schloss (born August 7, 1961) is an American musician, actor and composer. He is known as bass player for the Circle Jerks, the Weirdos, his many collaborations with Joe Strummer musically and in film and for his contributions to independent feature films. His first screen appearance was as "Kevin the Nerd" in '' Repo Man''. He went on to appear in a number of Alex Cox films as well as to make significant musical contributions in other Cox features such as ''Sid and Nancy'' (1986), '' Straight to Hell'' (1987), ''Walker'' (1987), ''El Patrullero'' (1991) and '' The Winner'' (1996). Circle Jerks
Circle Jerks (stylized as Ciʀcle JƎʀᴋs) are an American hardcore punk band, formed in 1979 in Los Angeles, California. The group was founded by former Black Flag vocalist Keith Morris and Redd Kross guitarist Greg Hetson. To date, Circle Jerks have released six studio albums, one compilation, a live album and a live DVD. Their debut album, ''Group Sex'' (1980), is considered a landmark of the hardcore genre. The band has broken up and re-formed several times, sometimes with different bassists and/or drummers. They disbanded for the first time after the release of their fifth album '' VI'' (1987), allowing Hetson to focus on Bad Religion (which he joined in 1984 and stayed with until 2013) full-time. ''Permanent Record'' is a 1988 American drama film starring Pamela Gidley, Michelle Meyrink, Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Rubin, and Alan Boyce. ''12 Bar Blues'' is the debut solo album from Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland. Its sound and style differ greatly from STP's previous releases. The design concept of the cover is a homage to the cover design of John Coltrane's '' Blue Train'' album. The title name comes from the simple chord progression known as "twelve-bar blues". Development In a 1998 interview on MTV's ''120 Minutes'', Weiland states that his then brother-in-law introduced him to Blair Lamb, who co-produced ''12 Bar Blues'' with Weiland. "Working Class Hero" is a song by John Lennon from his 1970 album ''John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band'', his first album after the break-up of the Beatles.
