Zandari Festa
Zandari Festa is a three-day music festival and showcase held in various live music venues and other locations in the area around Hongik University in Seoul. Every year, it offers around 100 music acts from Korea and around the world, as well as music industry delegates representing festivals and labels. In cooperation with foreign embassies, each year it offers national showcases. There are also conference events, secret shows, and various other networking events throughout the festival. There are many networking opportunities and a lot of deals get made at or because of Zandari. The 2019 edition features a Focus Wales showcase and a Music BC showcase from British Columbia, Canada. The 2015 event saw 261 acts playing in two dozen venues. The 2016 event had over 160 bands, 56 of which represented 18 foreign countries, with 163 individual concerts at 12 venues. Hongdae, Seoul
Hongdae () is a neighborhood in Seoul, South Korea near Hongik University, after which it is named. It is known for its urban arts and indie music culture, local shops, clubs and entertainment. The area is located in Mapo-gu in the western end of Seoul, stretching from Seogyo-dong to Hapjeong-dong. Name Hongdae () is an abbreviation of Hongik Daehakgyo, Hongik University (홍익대학교). Crayon Pop
Crayon Pop (Hangul: 크레용팝) is a South Korean girl group formed under Chrome Entertainment in 2012. The group consisted of four members: Geummi, Ellin, Choa, and Way. Their fifth member, Soyul, left the group in 2017. Crayon Pop officially debuted in July 2012 with their performance of "Saturday Night" on Mnet's ''M! Countdown''. Their first EP was not a commercial success, and when their song "Dancing Queen" was released in October, the group had few opportunities to promote on music shows. Instead they held guerrilla performances on the streets of Seoul, which helped increase their fanbase. Crayon Pop gained a huge increase in popularity following the release of their single album "Bar Bar Bar" in June 2013. Drinking Boys and Girls Choir (DBGC) is a three-piece punk band from Daegu, a conservative city in southeastern South Korea, currently consisting of band members Meena Bae (bass & vocals), Myeong-jin Kim (drums & vocals) and Megan Nisbet (guitar & vocals). The band's name reflects their love of drinking, their youthful appearance, the fact all members participate in singing, and their gender inclusiveness. Say Sue Me () is an indie rock band from Busan, South Korea, currently consisting of members Sumi Choi, Byungkyu Kim, Sungwan Lim, and Jaeyoung Kim. Elis Paprika (real name Erika Elizabeth Nogues; May 8, 1980) is an independent musician, singer, songwriter, and activist from Guadalajara, Mexico, active in Mexico's Rock scene since 2004. Glen Matlock (born 27 August 1956) is an English musician, best known for being the bass guitarist in the original line-up of the punk rock band the Sex Pistols.
