Zakho Fc
Zakho Sport Club, also spelled as Zaxo Sport Club ( ku-2, یانا زاخو یا وهرزشی / ''Yana Zaxo ya Werzişî'') is a sports club based in Zakho, Iraqi Kurdistan. Zakho SC's biggest rivals are also their neighbours Duhok SC, with whom they contest the Bahdinan Derby. History Football in Zakho was played unofficially from the early 1920s with many local amateur games as well as school competitions regularly being held in Zakho or nearby districts. This eventually led to the formation of the first ever football team in Zakho in 1948. This was made up of local workers and young men. Beginnings In 1986 the management team of the Zakho Youth Sporting Center which consisted of president Yousef Dawad Jabo as well as members: Ali Omran, Bashar Rahmallah, Khaled Hussein, Neshan Kerob, Khalat Ramadan and Khwaste Furman came up with the idea of starting Zakho Football Club to replace the Sporting Center or to be a part of it. Essam Hamad Salem
Essam Hamad Salem ( ar, عصام حمد سالم; born 22 October 1973) is an Iraqi football coach and former player. He played as a midfielder for Iraq in the 2000 Asian Cup. Essam also played for Al-Karkh, Al-Taawun, and Al-Zawraa at club level. Club level Hamad won the double (league and cup) twice, with Al-Zawraa in the 1994–95 and 1995–96 seasons. International career Having already played for the Iraq Olympic team at the qualifiers for the 1996 Summer Olympics, Hamad began playing for the senior team in 1995. Marin Ion
Marin Ion (also known as Ion Marin; born 25 March 1955) is a Romanian football manager and former defender who currently manages Romania women's national under-19 football team. Playing career Marin started his football career as a defender with the youth team of Rapid Bucharest in 1971. A year later he joined Dinamo Bucharest, where he won 5 championship titles (1975, 1977, 1982, 1983 and 1984) and two Romanian Cups (1982, 1983). In the 1983–84 season, he reached with Dinamo the semi-finals of the European Cup, where they lost to eventual winners Liverpool. Ali Hadi Mohsin
Ali Hadi Mohsin ( ar, علي هادي محسن; 1 June 1967 – 12 June 2020) was an Iraqi professional football player and manager. He played as a defender for Al-Zawraa and Al-Talaba, winning several titles with the clubs; he also played in Lebanon, for Al-Safa and Al-Ahed. Hadi also coached Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya in the 2016 AFC Cup, and led the Iraq national under-17 team to qualification for the 2018 AFC U-16 Championship. Club career Hadi began his senior career in 1988 at Al-Zawraa, staying there six years; he won four Iraqi Premier League titles. Hadi moved to Al-Talaba in 1994. Mohammad Ismael Kwid ( ar, محمد اسماعيل قويض; born 9 April 1956), also known as Abu Shakir ( ar, أبو شاكر), is a Syrian football manager and former player, who is the current manager of Emirati club Al Dhafra. He is considered one of the greatest managers in Syria, having led Al-Karamah to various league titles and the Asian Champions League Final. Nadhim Shaker Salim ( ar, ناظم شاكر سالم; 18 December 1958 – 11 September 2020) was an Iraqi football player and coach of the Iraq national team. Playing career Nadhim Shaker was one of the most talented defenders in Iraqi football history. He began his playing career at Al-Amal in 1976 before moving to (Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya) the following year and played for the club until 1988, after which he became a player-manager for the Al-Salam club. He played for the Iraq national team from 1978 till 1986. The defender represented Iraq at the 1979 World Military Championship and at the 1986 FIFA World Cup finals in Mexico playing against Paraguay, Belgium and the hosts, Mexico. Saadi Toma Jirjes ( syr, ܣܥܕܝ ܬܐܘܡܐ) (born 25 April 1955) is an Iraqi former Association football, football player and coach.
