Zafer Gözet
Zafer Gözet (born 21 September 1965) is a Turkish-Norwegian Marxist-Leninist politician. He was the leader of the Communist Party of Norway (NKP) from 2001 to 2010. Gözet was born and raised in Konya, Turkey before immigrating to Norway with his family in 1980. After lengthy contact with the Communist Party throughout the 1980s, he decided at the beginning of the 1990s to join the party. He led the Buskerud and Vestfold division of the party from 2000 on, and in 2001 was elected party leader, the first immigrant to lead a political party in Norway. Gözet was re-elected leader of the Communist Party at the party's 26th national congress in Alta in May 2007. From 1997 to 2002, he was also a member of Norway's Contact Committee for Immigrants and the Authorities. A teacher by profession, he is a board member of the Schools Association in Buskerud and a steward in Drammen municipality, as well as leader of the joint schools association for Drammen and region. Konya
Konya () is a major city in central Turkey, on the southwestern edge of the Central Anatolian Plateau, and is the capital of Konya Province. During antiquity and into Seljuk times it was known as Iconium (), although the Seljuks also called it Darü'l-Mülk, meaning "seat of government". In 19th-century accounts of the city in English its name is usually spelt Konia or Koniah. The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". The assembly is led by a president and, since 2009, five vice presidents: the presidium. The members are allocated to twelve standing committees as well as four procedural committees. 2009 Norwegian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Norway on 13 and 14 September 2009. Elections in Norway are held on a Monday in September, usually the second or third Monday, as determined by the king. Early voting was possible between 10 August and 11 September 2009, while some municipalities also held open voting on 13 September. Voters elected 169 members for the Storting, each for a four-year term. Voter turn-out in the 2009 general elections was 76.4%. Candidates were elected on party lists in each of the 19 counties. The political parties nominated candidates for these lists during late 2008 and early 2009. The party lists had to be registered by 31 March 2009. Drammen
Drammen () is a city and municipality in Viken (county), Viken, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway. Drammen municipality also includes smaller towns and villages such as Konnerud, Svelvik, Mjøndalen and Skoger. Alta, Norway
( se, Áltá ; fkv, Alattio; fi, Alattio) is the most populated municipality in Finnmark in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Alta. Some of the main villages in the municipality include Kåfjord, Komagfjord, Kvenvik, Langfjordbotn, Leirbotn, Rafsbotn, Talvik, and Tverrelvdalen.
