Zach Conine
Zachary Beare Conine (born October 20, 1981) is an American attorney, businessman and politician from the U.S. state of Nevada. He is currently the Nevada State Treasurer. Biography Conine was raised in New York. He graduated from Cornell University in 2003 and then moved to Nevada. He worked in Bullhead City, Arizona, and Laughlin, Nevada. While working full-time, he attented the William S. Boyd School of Law, graduating in 2013. He opened his own business consulting company in Las Vegas in 2014. Conine ran for the District 34 seat in the Nevada Assembly in the 2016 elections, but lost in the Democratic Party primary election to Shannon Bilbray-Axelrod. In the 2018 elections, he ran for Nevada State Treasurer, and defeated Republican Bob Beers. Michele Fiore
Michele Ann Fiore (born July 29, 1970) is an American Republican politician serving as a justice of the peace for Nye County since being appointed to the position by the Nye County Commission in December 2022. She moved to Nye County in November 2022 after losing the race for Nevada State Treasurer in the 2022 election. She was a member of the Nevada Assembly from 2012 to 2016. Fiore, who represented much of northwestern Clark County, served two Assembly terms. On December 7, 2015, she confirmed that she would not seek reelection, and would instead enter the 2016 race for Nevada's 3rd congressional district in southern Clark County. Robb Elementary School Shooting
On May 24, 2022, a mass shooting occurred at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, United States, where 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, a former student at the school, fatally shot nineteen students and two teachers, and wounded seventeen others. Earlier that day, he shot his grandmother in the face at home, severely wounding her. He fired shots for approximately five minutes outside the school, before entering unobstructed with an AR-15 style rifle through an unlocked side entrance door. Bob Beers (politician, Born 1959)
Robert T. Beers (born October 14, 1959) is an American accountant (CPA) and member of the Republican Party who was a 2018 candidate for Nevada Treasurer. He was previously an elected member of the Las Vegas City Council from 2012 to 2017, Nevada Assembly from 1998 to 2004 and the Nevada Senate from 2005 to 2008. He ran unsuccessfully for the Republican nomination for Governor of Nevada in 2006 and in January 2014, he announced that he would run against Democratic Senator Harry Reid in the 2016 U.S. Senate election, but he withdrew from the race in June 2015.
